Welcome
To kick things off, I'd like you to firstly acknowledge that we are in this together. I too am looking for further discipline myself, and I too crave victory. The difference: My journey began 2 years ago, where I found myself in high levels of obesity. I too live in the world where vaping is common, masturbation is the norm, and Islam ceases to exist in the hearts of most "muslims". The truth is that these things have occurred because of a lack of understanding, and therefore action has took place based on emotion and feelings, rather than rational thinking, and well-thought decisions. The name of this group is relevant to myself because it was, and still is, one of my biggest motivators. Any time I found myself lacking motivation, I'd tell myself : "You are a soldier of Allah, a slave of Allah". Would a slave of Allah be easily influenced into making the wrong choices? No. If you yourself are not a muslim, I'd like you to try a similar method that may be relevant, and may motivate you. E.g. for my Christian brothers, you may see yourself as a follower of Jesus, or even a creation of God. Going slightly of track; I'd like to highlight that these differences in beliefs aren't barriers in this brotherhood, but instead they are actually bonds. There are many things I won't know about other religions, so the conversations that sprout from these differences will unite us rather than differentiate us. On that note, I'd also like to welcome those who may not be a Muslim into our group. If you are religious, there may be similarities that can bond us together, rather than differences that separate us. I understand that I may reference to certain situations that may not be relevant to you, but it is important that you tailor those references to yourself, and try to find ways to benefit from them. By joining this group, you have personally signed up to become a warrior. That means that you must be different. It means that you must no longer value the opinion of others, and instead use religion, discipline and this brotherhood to shape your life into one that elevates both yourself and your family to a new status.

The purpose of this brotherhood
Let me take you back 2 years ago - 180 pounds, no confidence and obese. I had tied "fat" with my existence for as long as I remembered, that it had been engraved into my identity. However, January of 2022, I realised that that no longer had to be the case. 2 years later, I am in better shape and I am way more confident. I understand it took 2 years, a lot of time, however these 2 years were years of gaining knowledge, understanding the rights from the wrongs regarding weight loss and fitness. You see, we live in times where the variety of advice regarding fitness is at an all time high. One influencer may tell you to carb-cycle, another may tell you that counting calories should be the priority, and in all of these irrelevant pieces of advice, the journey from fat to fit has become blurred and more complicated than it is. So the reason I took 2 years was because it took 2 years to understand what was necessary for weight loss, and what wasn't. What I learnt - it is a lot more simple than most think. Over the years, I also faced problems that seemed very uncommon at the time. For example, living an a South Asian household, I had to learn how to lose weight whilst still eating the foods cooked by my mum. Personally, Islam is a very big part of my life. I believe that religion is a key way to find composure in life, and composure is definitely a key factor of fitness. In this community, I will teach you how Islam benefited me, and I will also teach you how some Islamic figures embodied discipline, strength and masculinity. In this brotherhood, my purpose is to guide muslim, south asian teens to become physically stronger, by also becoming mentally and spiritually stronger. I will teach you how to fix your diet, and I will ensure that you remain disciplined for as long as you have goals to reach. As long as you remain in this community, you will see yourself become more disciplined, confident and fit, whilst being part of a brotherhood who have accomplished the same achievements, and overcome the same hurdles as yourself.
