Hi I'm your Village Midwife Carisa 👋✌️
As the creator of the Wellness Womb School, I’m excited to introduce myself and share my journey with all of you! My name is Carisa, and I am a homebirth midwife and a doctor of natural and sacred medicine. My passion for holistic health began when I witnessed the transformative power of natural birthing practices and the deep connections that occur during those sacred moments. In addition to midwifery, I have a strong interest in holistic functional medicine, which allows me to take a comprehensive approach to wellness, considering the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I believe that our experiences shape us, and I am committed to creating a supportive community where we can share knowledge, resources, and encouragement. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy foraging for herbs, practicing mindfulness in nature, and exploring new wellness practices and hanging with my amazing kiddos and partner. I look forward to learning about each of you and discovering how we can support one another on our individual journeys 1. I was motivated to create the Wellness Womb School to provide a holistic resource that empowers individuals to embrace natural and sacred medicine throughout their life journey. 2. My current focus is on integrating functional medicine principles to address wellness holistically, from preconception through all stages of life. 3. Yes, I have extensive experience in holistic health practices, including homebirth midwifery, herbal medicine, functional nutrition, and energy healing. 4. I am passionate about exploring wellness topics such as functional medicine, self-care across the lifespan, and the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. 5. I prefer learning through a blend of group discussions and hands-on activities, as they foster community connection and practical application of knowledge. 6. I hope to create a supportive environment where members can learn, share their experiences, and feel empowered in their wellness journey, beyond just pregnancy.
