The danger of miscommunication and bad luck grows as we enter the Dog Days of Summer
That's why I've compiled 3 Steps to keep you clear on Who You Are & Where You're Going
The first two are from Dr. Orion Taraban of PsyHacks
but the third (and my favorite) is from multi-millionaire Alex Hormozi of Aquistion.com Here are 3 things to keep in mind when dealing with difficult situations and other people:
1) STFU
2) Let it Slide
3) Decide It's Not A Problem
I'll explain . . .
STFU stands for "bite your tongue"
Just because you're thinking something doesn't mean you should say it
All it takes is one cutting remark to become someone's permanent enemy
It doesn't have to be that way
Always prioritize peace
It is so beautiful to find yourself in a mutually beneficial situation with someone you initially despised
When in doubt (or in a highly emotional state), say nothing
Our second pillar goes with the first:
LET IT SLIDE
You may have PASSION, but remember to be compassionate
Negativity SUCKS
You may be right, but STFU about other people and be willing to let things go instead of replaying the past in your head over and over again
Stop being miserable because you think you're right
Prioritize positivity ALWAYS
And our last one, this is the game changer:
If something is a problem, decide it's not a problem
It'll be pretty easy to know if this is impossible for you to do with a particular 'problem'
If so, work on yourself and reflect on why this is a problem
or,
Do something about it without attempting to control others
Remember, you can only control yourself
Exercising boundaries is not you telling other people what to do
Having boundaries is LEAVING relationships and situations that trespass against your boundaries
But imagine what you could achieve if you decided that these little things that you can't control weren't problems anymore
Your beautiful body (and all its uniqueness + limits) is not a problem
Getting passed over for that dream job is not a problem
Being betrayed by your best friend is not a problem
Having no idea what you want to do with your life is not a problem
Losing your favorite sunglasses is not a problem
Experiencing the transient nature of the universe only to learn over and over again that nothing lasts forever and death is inevitable . . .
IS NOT A PROBLEM
Apply these steps today and every day
I know you can do it
