Hope you're all having a good day and have either a relaxing or fun evening!! Thought we could end the week on a lighthearted note and talk about πŸ’©πŸ˜œ Lets dive in... Your πŸ’© and hormones have a direct relationship with each other. For instance, if you're constipated and therefore not expelling then your body is reabsorbing the estrogen hormone that would have gone out with your bile and is now contributing to an estrogen dominance. Healthy BMs are a sign of a healthy gut and going to the washroom first thing in the morning is a good indication your digestive track is working. Also the quality of your pile is also telling. Post-Holiday Hormone Detox
Oh the holidays! Idk about you but I sure let myself go a little over the holidays. Getting caught up in the fun activities and eating sugar and drinking alcohol a little more than usual! It happens, we're human! But what can we do about all the side effects? If you find your hormones out of balance and showing up as unwanted symptoms from indulging over the holidays. I highly encourage a little holiday detox to get your body back into balance. You'll want to focus on 3 main areas: 1. Increase liver support (to detox all the alcohol & sugar) 2. Decrease hormone disruptors (eliminate the source) 3. Improve adrenal function (to help your body recover) I've created a lil infographic to help :) And I'll also be posting a "Gut Healing" smoothie later this week that I was basically living off of during the holidays, lol, to help keep my hormones in check. Just made this sweet potato, avo & egg dish which was an old favourite of mine and so satisfying. I haven't made in years and forgot how good it is!
