🔁 Churn Checklist: Alex Hormozi’s 14 Strategies 💪
People sign up… then they cancel. If you want growth, you need to keep members engaged. Here’s a 14-step checklist from Alex Hormozi to help you lower churn and keep people around. 1. Cancellation Video 🎥🚫 When someone clicks “cancel,” play a video explaining what they’ll miss. Sometimes a reminder of the value they’re leaving behind can make them reconsider. 2. Find the Activation Point 🎉🚀 The “activation point” is the first “aha!” moment. Identify what this is for your product and get members there fast—first wins make lasting members. 3. Onboarding Calls ☎️👋 Welcome new members with a call. This brief touchpoint makes them feel supported and less likely to cancel. 4. Time Unlock ⏳🔓 Release content gradually to keep members coming back. Drip-feeding prevents overwhelm and encourages long-term engagement. 5. Level Unlock 🎮📈 Create levels with new perks or tools at each step. The sense of progress keeps members motivated and invested. 6. From Guru to Community 👥💬 Members might join for you, the “guru,” but keep them for the community. A space for connection fosters loyalty. 7. Encourage Pausing, Not Canceling 💵💸 Offer a “pause” option instead of outright cancellation. Many people just need a break—not a full exit. 8. Smart Pricing Tactics 🤑💰 Offer discounts for longer commitments. A smart pricing structure can be the difference between staying and canceling. 9. Build a Positive Culture 🏆🔥 When members feel part of something bigger, they’re more likely to stay. Share success stories and celebrate wins. 10. Value-Pricing Balance ⚖️💵 Price to match value. Members who feel they’re getting a fair deal are more likely to stay. 11. Regular Community Calls 🗣️💻 Hold calls where members can ask questions, share wins, and get feedback. A connected community is a loyal one. 12. Target High-Retainers 🎯🙌 Analyze who stays longest and why. Target more of those types—quality over quantity pays off. 13. Reduce Overwhelm 😵📉 Don’t drown members in information. Simplify and provide value in stages to prevent churn.

I would also add: tease about what is coming next. When people have something clear to expect the next month, they are less likely to churn. Many are just saying " we have 3 calls next month" without saying what they will be about. If you say instead what the subject will be, if it's relevant to the member, he will stay for it.
Help Us Tell Skool That This Group Is Thriving!
Hi Everyone, Skool recently made a change to its discovery algorithm, which appears to lower the ranking of older, free, and public groups like “Accelerator University” compared to other Skool groups that are paid and private. I just wrote this post on the Skool Community to demonstrate that abandoned groups now rank above engaged communities like ours. "Why new algorithm ranks abandoned groups higher now?" https://www.skool.com/community/why-new-algorithm-ranks-abandoned-groups-higher-now/ If Accelerator University has positively impacted you, could you take a moment to comment on this post? Share how you’ve benefited from our curriculum, enjoyed the community experience, and/or the personalized 1-on-1 Coaching. I understand Skool’s goal is to prioritize “retention” over growth or engagement. However, this shift will impact older groups like Accelerator University, which has been actively serving members for many months. Please take a moment to click on the link above and tell Skool that the thriving community at Accelerator University is committed to quality discussions, meaningful human connections, and authentic member experiences. @Grace Kelley Basically he will be loosing traffic to this community if it stays this way, which makes it harder to maintain the community going.

@Alexi Drouin congrats on this huge milestone! Do you find that most trafic come from organic off platform? Or from discovery inside Skool?
Consistency Over Perfection: Why You Don’t Need a Perfect Product to Win
Perfectionism is paralysing for many entrepreneurs who delay launches or new initiatives because they believe everything must be flawless. We have covered this in this community at great length. The Hormozis & Alexi often stress the importance of taking action and iterating along the way, rather than waiting for everything to be perfect . They share that consistent effort and refining the process as you go, rather than launching the “perfect” version of a product is key. If this resonates with you please Get involved feel free to share something you launched before it was "perfect" and the lessons you learned from it. Context: this is an extract from my notes, I’m currently doing a sprint implementing ( the rule of 100) as taught in this community.
