💃 The Woman in the Red Dress: Alex Hormozi’s Lesson from The Matrix
Alex Hormozi tells a powerful story from The Matrix that perfectly illustrates the importance of focus in business. Every day, we face new opportunities. The bigger you get, the bigger the opportunities. And the harder it is to say no. 🚫 In the story, Neo is walking through a crowded street with Morpheus. Suddenly, Neo notices a woman in a red dress and his head turns. 🔴 Morpheus asks, “Were you listening, Neo? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?” When Neo looks back, the woman is gone—replaced by Agent Smith pointing a gun at his head. 🎯 Here’s the lesson: In business, distractions often appear as shiny opportunities. 🌟 The higher you climb, the more attractive these distractions become —the woman in the red dress. 💃 At every level of success, you must learn to say “no” again and again. Alex used to think that once I learned this skill, I’d be done. But the truth is, the woman in the red dress keeps coming back—each time, more enticing than before. Success isn’t just about innovation; it’s about consistently doing what you should be doing, even when distractions try to pull you away. 💡 Focus is your superpower. 🔥 https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7251657559374274560/ P.S. What’s your biggest distraction in business? Comment below. 👇

Group Name Update: Welcome to “Accelerator University”! 🚀
Hey Everyone, On August 22, 2024, Sam Ovens, CEO of Skool, messaged me directly and told me that the Hormozi Team would like me to change the “Acquisition University” group’s name and logo. I immediately updated the logo and renamed the group to “Hormozi Community” for a few weeks, but I’ve now decided to rebrand our community to: “Accelerator University.” 🚀 From the start, I’ve always said I would "gift" this group to Leila and Alex Hormozi. My intention is to support Acquisition.com’s mission. As Alex Hormozi teaches, I wanted to demonstrate my skills by actually building the group itself. But the results of curating and publishing over 800 videos of Leila and Alex Hormozi on the Skool platform, led to a rapid organic growth of this group to over 6.8k members in ~6 months. This further focused and motivated me to build one of the best free and public communities on Skool. I originally created this group to scratch my own itch and hopefully highlight my skills to maybe one day join Hormozi's Team. But my understanding is that I might have been ahead of the curve since they were not hiring a Director of Education at Acquisition.com at this time. Therefore, I just continued to build and optimize this free and public group to help the thousands of members joining everyday. My goal was always to build this group for Leila and Alex Hormozi, to promote their mission, attract more companies to attend the workshop in Las Vegas, and or promote Alex’s books. By organizing and curating Leila and Alex Hormozi’s content, my goal was to shorten the time-to-value and make it faster and easier to consume their overwhelming amount of content. I was hoping their team would see our group as a new asset for their brand portfolio to build even more goodwill with their followers. And since Alex has The Skool Games, I was also hoping this group could be Leila’s community on Skool to promote Acquisition.com. As Alex Hormozi has stated many times, education is the only true legacy, and I strongly believe that Acquisition University would truly advance their mission: "to make real business education available to everyone."

Keep up the great work!
How fitness changed my life 🚀
I never realized how important my fitness was until a few years ago. ‎ Nothing seemed to be going my way and I couldn't figure it out. ‎ I got into the gym and it was an amazing source of relief. ‎ That and when I finally started to see progress, ‎ Nothing bad felt as bad. ‎ I could always fall back on the fact that I was in shape. ‎ If you are struggling with anything at all, ‎ I recommend getting into shape as step 1.

📝 How can shifting from "How to" advice to "How I" stories make your message unique?
Alex Hormozi explains the importance of moving from generic "how to" tips to sharing personalized "how I" experiences. This shift makes your content unique and relatable because it draws from individual success. When you share your specific methods and outcomes, your audience gets actionable and authentic insights. Think about a time you achieved something significant. Share your story in the comments below. Aim for a response between 25 to 100 words. Engage with your peers by giving feedback on 2 different stories and liking 3 valuable comments.
