How I got a 5x ROAS and made $44,723.34 in a month
Learning the skill of paid ads is the unlock for predictable growth. I made roughly 45k off around 8k ad spend in a month because of this skill. Here’s a 4 foundational lessons I’ve learned over the last 10 years of runnings ads. 1. START SOONER THAN LATER Don’t rely on organic only. When I was running my gym it was ads combined with a good offer that saved my business. Running my agency it’s what got me unstuck from 10k to average 35k months. There’s a myth that you should wait and do organic only. The only reason to wait is if you offer is invalidated. Meaning you haven’t made any money from your offer. At that point yes it makes sense to make some sales organically first so you don’t just market your shit offer. 2. HAVE PROPER EXPECTATIONS I used to get so emotional when my campaigns didn’t work right away. I would be so discouraged and it would throw me off for weeks. The reality of ads is you lose money first. Then you strike gold with 1 or 2 ads that absolutely crush and that’s where you make all your money. What helps me is starting small and setting a budget you will spend for the next 12 months regardless of results. 3. TEST EVERYTHING Constantly test 1 variable at a time. Have a weekly cadence where you create new ads. Constantly think of new angles to hit. Try images and videos. Green screen videos, talking head, recording your screen, etc… The offer will have the greatest impact. What are you offering? It should solve a painful problem. Whether it’s a direct call to action to work together or a freebie, the offer is most important. 2nd it’s the ad creative. The image or video. 3rd is the ad copy and headline. But it’s really only the top 3 sentences in the ad copy that matter since that’s what most people see in an ad. They rarely hit “show more” and read the entire post. 4. TRACK RESULTS/Know your numbers. This once again removes the emotional roller coaster dynamic. Sometimes it “feels” like it’s not working when it actually is.
