Intro rejects
You dial someone and they hang up in the intro. Maybe say your name, or where you're calling from and they hang up or say not interested. What's your thought process on dialling back. Dial back next day, let them cool for a few weeks and try again. What's the thought process here for you guys? I think it depends on what type of hang up it is. If they just hear 'hello' and hang up you can probably try again in two days. But seem rejections seem a lot more final and calling back could be time-wasting. Thoughts?

@Callum Beecroft Interesting to see that content. What's the usual response to that intro?
Who else watched the Tesla AI sales call this morning?
I hate to say it, but I thought it was pretty good. It's definitely not ready for a cold call, but for something like reactivating B2C leads, or following up say miss opportunities/ no shows, it probably does a better job that most calls I've received in a consumer capacity.

Yeah a skilled cold caller is still 1000x times better. For now, though. Who knows where the technology will actually go. Will be a big day in technology when AI makes the leap from being able to book a positive and upbeat American to a surly German Ops director.

@Munro Barclay-Miller Imagine an AI programmed with Sandler. Answering literally every question with a question. Madness.
Focus for this week
It's Monday morning. Hope everyone rested well this weekend. For me, I embarrassed myself at topgolf. What's everyone's focus this week on the phone? Personally, I'm focusing on getting past brush-offs. Trying to recognise what isn't actually an objection but an automatic response to get me off the phone. Hopefully gets me into more convos and more meetings booked. Everyone else?

@Munro Barclay-Miller Interesting. What do they normally say to that? Seems like a pretty textbook handle

from my experience people pick up the phone on Mondays, but the calls never go anywhere. Whereas at the end of the week if you catch someone they're in a good mood or already a few pints in and will give you time of day

@Callum Beecroft Definitely never had someone slurring at me but the better mood of UK sales leaders on a Friday afternoon does make me suspicious of some long lunches
Background music for cold calls...
TROOOPZ. I find that the best way to stop me looking at my phone during calling hours is to have quiet, but up-tempo music on. High BPM, low decibel. As such I'm keen for two things... 1) What music do you listen to while working, and do you find it helps with focus? 2) I'm also welcoming any additions to the following playlists; - Techno - Jungle - Reggae/Dub I can't listen to any music with guitars when working anymore, the angry face and headbanging doesn't help me close even slightly.
