June layout
I’ve had an ongoing conversation with myself about what my monthly Bujo layout should look like and contain. I decided that the monthly spread is only helpful if I will use it! I wanted to share mine. Do you use a monthly spread? what does yours look like?

@Dawn Kenny wine definitely helps you loosen up your grip to get those nice dips and flows in your lettering! quick tip would be to ensure all your down strokes are thicker, and your up strokes are thinner - w/some practice, you'll see it coming together :)

@Emilie Kahn thank you! I have a huge pile of spreads I need to share on here when I have a minute. might just do a big "here's all the crap I have done this year" post ;) we'll see!
What do you do with your finished/completed journals?
i was just wondering how people are storing completed journals/notebooks and how long everyone is intending to keep them for? I'm thinking more for ones that you use to keep your 'journal' pages in. So private thoughts and musings that you might never want others to see. How do you store them? How often do you go back and look at completed ones? How long do you intend to keep them for? Forever? I'm close to the end of my first journal and am getting nervous about what I do now!!!

I have kept all of mine since I started in 2016; they're stacked in a metal ikea cabinet, along with photo boxes and other memory-keeping things. I have gone back to them on occasion to review a layout idea, or see what was going on at a certain period of my life (going back to look at March 2020's entries was a whole journey!). this thread is bringing up a good point: what do you do with them when you're gone? hm.
Log Book/Journal with Time Stamps
Does anyone else keep a journal with exact time stamps or am I the only one? Every day, I write down my everyday life. Sometimes I don't write for weeks, and then I have to go back and browse chats and photos to get the exact time, but a journal entry would look like this: 7:14 wake up 7:49 take out my dog 8:05 coffee at the dining table 8:20 sit at my desk, start writing emails ... all the way down to when I had lunch, when I watched a show, and when I went to bed. Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I have only ever done like "an ideal day" regarding time stamps, i.e. one page that lays out what it would look like w/the timing, if I was The Best Version of Myself - 7:00AM wake up and meditate 7:20AM breakfast and journaling 8:00AM walkies 8:30AM start work day etc etc. - but I have never gone back and plugged things in time-wise like you've described. I find that fascinating and as a data nerd, I would want to find the trends to see if there's outside influences that result in you being able to do things for longer periods, or earlier/later than typical, and where you could do little things to improve your timing (if that was something you wanted to explore)... seriously, thank you for sharing!
B6 Journal Options
Hello! I've been doing a modified BuJo in a B6 STM for years now and was super disappointed to see they're not being made anymore. Has anyone found a similar option with as many pages as STM? All the other dot grid B6 journals I've found are either super thin pages or ~150 pages. TIA!

I love B6 and have found notebook therapy's journals to be very good quality paper and enough pages for 1 book/1 year for me. I have also tried archer and olive's notebooks and their B6's are 160 pages, and great quality as well. those're my only two alternatives that I can personally vouch for
One journal or several?
So the conventional bullet journal wisdom is that if you keep everything in one journal you will always know where everything is, it integrates your life, etc. But recently I started an art notebook to keep track of ideas for paintings and it quite rapidly turned into a kind of bullet journal. So my question is: do you use just one journal at a time, or do you have several on the go at once? What do you put in a different journal? And what do you like about your approach?

I have multiple journals for different purposes. I have one that is my yearly journal for that year - it has all my monthly spreads, daily writing, habit tracking, random quote pages, holiday/seasonal bucket lists I want to play with, that kind of thing. I have a 5-year journal where I write a line or two daily on the day entry for that year and am already enjoying looking back to where I was last year on the same date. I have a bujo set up for annual tracking of things, such as "24 24's in 2024", monthly favorite things/highlights, letter to my future self from new year's eve to new year's day the following year, and other such long-term annual trackers - I got tired of having to pull out old journals to compare year to year stuff, so this one gets updated almost daily but not as frequently as the other two. I have a bujo for tracking fitness challenges/metrics, I have one for tracking/planning projects and references (i.e. when I need to measure something in the house so I have it for later, I write it in there, and then know that I already measured say, the room and did the math on how much paint to buy to paint a wall there, so I don't have to do it again later), I have a travel journal which is smaller that I use for trips (duh), and I have a journal I rarely update but it is used often, which is full of pen/marker/paint/medium swatches. OH. and I have a tiny notebook for day to day actual tasks for both work and my personal life - and I have one that I use for work to take notes in at meetings where I cannot bring a laptop. whew!! SO MANY!! but I love it!! and I love knowing they all have a purpose, too.
