Thank you SO much for recording this. I got held up in an interview and wasn't able to join. Our Front Office Coordinator is leaving us tomorrow so we've been scrambling to find a replacement. Good help is hard to find these days! :)
Scheduled video sessions will be 30 mins from now on.
Todays session will be action packed: We are going to answer questions from the community covering hashtags, how to plan content, and some basic tools to use. If you have other questions feel free to drop them down here. Due to time limitations, we won't be doing intros on the call. Feel free to hop on and you DON'T need video on, feel free to listen in. I will post an audio recording after the session.

I REALLY appreciate you taking your time to help us all out @Joel Lalgee
Content consistency
For the past 5 years, I have posted multiple times a day on social media - It's the biggest reason I've grown from 11,000 connections on Linkedin (built during my 5 years as a recruiter) to almost 1 million followers. I realize that this is probably overkill depending on your goals for most people, but I'd love to get an idea of how often you're posting. My general rule is the more content the better...

Normally it's been about one a week on LinkedIn, and multiple posts on FB a week. More recently I've been trying to post 2-3 times a day on LinkedIn and FB more. And I post multiple time a day on X, but not too much of it has to do with work.... YET.
I'm big on supporting one another on social media - let's connect
I am NOT a fan of engagement pods where engagement is required. I am a FAN of supporting content you resonate with but it can be hard to discover new content and people. Feel free to drop your social media handles here: I'll go first: I have a bunch - Here is my Linkedin :https://www.linkedin.com/in/joellalgee/ Everywhere else just search TheRealestrecruiter, I should pop up! You?

I already sent out all my weekly invites this morning for LinkedIn but I will send out invites for everyone on Monday that's posted them! Here's mine... https://www.linkedin.com/in/amyratclifferecruits/ https://www.facebook.com/amy.limoges.5 I still have my married last name of Ratcliffe, but I use Amy Limoges, my maiden name for everything that I don't HAVE to use Ratcliffe for.

Thanks, @Joel Lalgee!!
1st Session was great here is what you missed - Audio is available here.
1st part of the session was just intro - you can skip past that. Understanding who your audience is and how to reach them. For me, I have 2 audiences: Recruiters - typically expect humor around recruitment, tips on technology, and then tips on being a better recruiter. Job seekers - Tips on resume, Interview tips, how to get a job. Then we transitioned into video content basics: 1. The most important part of a video is the hook - if you DON'T nail the first part of the video you will not capture people's attention. 2. Hook then add credibility - Why should people listen to you? 3. Record in bite-size chunks vs long 1-2 minute sections. If you want me to review a few videos, feel free to send them to me! I'm happy to give you quick tips. If you're looking for one-on-one help, please DM me. I offer hourly coaching dedicated to helping you! Feel free to listen and drop any questions you have here! Thanks to @Abby Nummerdor @Amy Ratcliffe @Josh Vogel @Hunter Cook @Dijana Kolar for showing up Today.

Thanks so much for having me on, @Joel Lalgee ! I’ve been following you on LinkedIn for a while now, and I absolutely LOVE the content you put out. You’ve inspired me to start creating fun and engaging content for work—not just because it’s impactful, but also because it’s something I can take with me wherever I go. For the past couple of years, I’ve been dreaming about starting my own business, and building an online presence feels like a big step toward making that happen. I’ve got about 25k followers across LinkedIn, Facebook, and X, and it’s cool to see how much traction my posts get—people come in all the time saying they saw something I shared. I’m excited to take things further this coming year by branching out into YouTube and TikTok. Would love any advice you have as I dive into these new platforms!

@Joel Lalgee THAT would be awesome! I don't even use Tiktok IRL... so I'm a TOTAL newb!
