There are two ways to grow:
- Solve your current problems and learn from them before pursuing new opportunities. - Seek new opportunities while struggling with existing problems and new ones you create, ultimately realizing you have too many unresolved issues on your plate. Inspired by Hormozi

What if the key to reducing stress and frustration at work was as simple as clear communication?
In my role working with my dad, I’ve helped him set clearer standards at work to reduce miscommunication and frustration. My dad often gets annoyed when tasks, like cleaning up or handling garbage, aren’t done, but I pointed out that the issue stems from unclear expectations. If the team doesn’t know exactly what’s required, they won’t follow through the way he expects. I suggested we sit down and list all the tasks and standards he wants the team to follow, writing them down clearly so there’s no need to keep asking him. By making these expectations visible and consistent, the team knows exactly what to do without needing to ask. This way, everyone is on the same page, and my dad can focus on bigger issues without being bothered by smaller ones. In the end, it helps things run smoother for everyone.

I keep making this mistake
I keep making the mistake of not preparing myself properly. I’m getting to work late because of that reason. The underlying reason is actually because I leave my phone to charge overnight but the charger won’t work if you move it ever so slightly and I wake up late because I’m not preparing myself with the necessary tools (even tho I have them) to set me up for success the following day. This will be changed today no exceptions, buying a. New charger & making sure my phone is charged. But most importantly Preparing myself Correctly the night before.

Yes I wake up on time with My phone fully charged now
Discipline
It's time to double down on work . I've set up a motion schedule to manage three big projects. I will avoid anything other than these projects, except for a few side quests. I will develop resilient discipline to stay committed to my tasks and say no to everything else.

The Grind
This week was incredibly long and tested my mental and physical limits. Each day, I woke up earlier than usual, inspired by my dad’s advice to set a better example and get to work on time. Picking up my brother on the way, I arrived early at work, only to be greeted by 300 heavy pallets, each weighing around 70 pounds. It was physically straining work, flipping and lifting them multiple times. But these long days were just a part of a grueling week. Earlier, we had to fix our backyard fence because the old, unstable one could be pushed over easily. Concerned for my dog’s safety, I decided to take action. I created a materials list from Home Depot and approached our landlord, who graciously deducted $500 from our rent for the expenses. After a month of waiting for my dad to return from Mexico, we finally started the fence project. I had learned the value of teamwork while helping my dad fix his own fence. My brother and one of my dad’s workers came to help, and it was a lifesaver. We dug three-foot holes, mixed cement, and installed the new fence with some materials from Home Depot and sturdier ones from my dad’s supply. Despite not initially planning to charge for labor, my landlord offered to pay for it, recognizing the hard work and dedication I put into maintaining the property. I was nervous about quoting a price but settled on $677, valuing my effort and the quality of the work done. In the end, she generously gave me $800. Throughout this process, I learned invaluable lessons about leadership and teamwork. Being a leader means knowing when to listen and value the expertise of others. This experience reinforced that teamwork indeed makes the dream work, and the pride in seeing the finished fence was immense. Now, with the weekend ahead, I can reflect on the importance of valuing my work and effort. This week was tough, but it taught me the significance of collaboration and the satisfaction of a job well done.
