30-Day “Farmers Walk” Challenge
I’m always up for ANYTHING that will rally the troops and this 30 day challenge is a perfect way to do so!!! In my mind the real value of doing these types of daily challenge workouts is the accountability they create by forcing a non-negotiable goal specific action. Not only do they improve gains, but they build discipline, too! So I wanna try something out with you guys open to a challenge. For the next month, I want you to take part in this “Farmers Walk Challenge”… The rules are simple: - Designate the distance or sets of failure you’ll do - Rotate the different weights daily (go up then down) - Carry on every set til absolute failure (dropping it) …And - Resting for 30 seconds between each set… If you’re in, which I really hope you are, then reply YES to the survey… Make sure to check out the YouTube video attached for more details… LFG!!! Days 5/6/7 Complete: Been super busy been doing the work just haven't been able to post. Just for fun ladder sets farmer walks 15# 25# 36.5 did the 2nd round of 25# 15# banded....

Day 12 in the books! 10 min Jump rope hiit. AMRAP KB back/trap/bicep/forearms. 5# deadblow hammer forearm Abs hiit. Offset 36/25# kb rack & farmers carries 100 ft each arm each carry. Single kb carry challenge 100 ft each. Farmer's walks 25# &36.5# 500 ft, 300ft, 200ft, 200 ft 100ft. Keep kickin ass warriors!!

To all the warriors here Thank You for being part of the thin line stretching from Lexington and Concord through Today, who whether in peace or war answered "Send Me!" When asked " Whom shall we send?" So my Veterans day challenge is 11 sets of 11 kettlebell swings and 11 sets of 100ft farmers walk.

Recovery Day
This pic is a pretty good representation of how things went inside the Marchman household today. After a LONG week, we all just hit a wall and had a lazy football and movie Saturday. I’m about to hit a late afternoon “push-pull-hinge” workout, but other than that, body just felt like it needed some r&r…Sometimes THAT is the best progress you can make. What did you get into today?

Today is light day. Did my carry routine bilateral waiter, rack & farmer. Offset each arm waiter rack waiter farmer rack farmer. Then single KB farmers carries & bilateral farmer.

If you've only got one kettlebell to work with, try this instead... (a) Single Arm Farmers Walk (50 steps on each arm) (b) Offset Rack Carry (50 steps on each arm) (c) Goblet Carry (50 steps) (d) Offset Waiters Walk (50 steps on each arm) (e) Goblet Carry (50 steps) (f) Offset Rack Carry (50 steps on each arm) (g) Single Arm Farmers Walk (50 steps on each arm) [Repeat without putting kettlebell down until the distance, sets, or time you designated for the challenge is complete... I did it yesterday and my forearms, shoulders, lats, and core were on FIRE!!! For those of you doing the challenge, how's it going for you? Let me know in the comments. We live in a time when a majority of people don't know what pain is and any discomfort or challenges are excuses to quit. Been there myself. Today I have a bad case of the don'ts but I'm sure trying to power through the discomfort and git'er done. Not my most productive workouts so far but better than saying screw it I'll do it tomorrow.
