Yesterday I received notification that my thesis film UNNESTED has been selected into its 10th film festival this year. This time last year we were cramming in post production so we could screen our film at the Miami Dade College Bachelor’s Student screening. Fast forward to now and I’ve met so many people from all walks of life at these festivals and they loved the film so much. I'm trying to learn how to come up with a rate for my services, and I'm wondering how you guys do it? Is it by hour, by amount of work? I know we all focus on different departments but you never know what might help you come up with a rate for your services.

‘Ello, talented filmmakers! I’m Sabrina Federhofer, a writer and director based in South Florida! I just joined this community and read through the posts. I love seeing how active everyone is talking about film and sharing the projects they are working on. This is so cool! If you don’t know me, I just graduated from MDC’s Film bachelor’s program this Spring 2024. I pursued film after growing up loving all art, from guitar playing to origami to poetry. Because of that, I love working in art department when I’m not leading a project. When I’m not on set, I am a freelance graphic designer, motion graphics artist and video editor. Through all these artistic endeavors, my goal remains to write and craft stories that people from all walks of life can relate to, be inspired by and find escapism in.
