Destination Thailand Visa or Digital Nomad Visa as it's being called?
I'm curious to know has anyone here successfully applied for this visa?

@Felipe Souza as long as you stay more than 180 days in Thailand you're legally supposed to pay taxes
Brainstorming session: alternatives to Thailand and their pros and cons
Which countries would you live in if Thailand was no longer an option or you simply wanted to explore something similar? For instance, let's suppose you got tired of its current visa system. There are better options in this regard (or at least comparable ones), each with their pros and cons. I'll share my list from the perspective of a western guy: - The Philippines The best visa system on earth for a foreigner. You can extend a simple tourist visa for 2-3 years for 1-6 months at a time from within the country, without having to do a visa run. As soon as you leave the country, the clock resets from the eyes of the government, so for practical purposes, you can stay there pretty much indefinitely (this is not easy to pull off in Thailand unless you're 50+ and qualify for a retirement visa). Pros: cheap living costs, friendly people, easy dating, warm weather. Cons: you really need to do your research and pick your spot well, because certain regions have crime-related issues. Also, those freaking random brownouts are a turn-off for many digital nomads. I wouldn't go there without a backup device and a powerbank. I also wouldn't live in the provinces because the healthcare can be questionable there. - Cambodia Very easy to get a 6 month visa because they're happy to have you there. You can arrive without any kind of visa at all and switch to another visa from within the country. There are visa agencies that will take your passport and get it done for you, so the hassle is minimal. Pros: cheap living costs, friendly people, easy dating, warm weather. And Siem Reap is actually safe. Cons: Not a safe country in general, with Siem Reap being a notable exception (easy to find cheap accommodation there). Healthcare can be questionable. - Vietnam The 3 month visas are back... but they are hinting at not wanting to have the digital nomad types around (see this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwhCIj8c3ZY). Other than that, a 3 month visa seems fine.

Where did you hear that about Japan requiring visas before arrival? I'm headed there in a week ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
Mental Map
This month I will fill in my mental map which is a vision tool that helps clarify what my vision of my future life looks like. It's a basically a manifestation tool. It's a living document that I can add to, delete from and change change as time goes on and my vision evolves. For anyone interested, I am attaching a copy of the original. It's already filled out with generic info as a guide. You just need to change it to fit your own vision.

Looks good. Reminds me of an exercise in sam ovens' course.
Expensive flights and alternatives to Sky Scanner?
As I'm sure everyone knows, flight prices are out of control right now. Not only that but sky scanner absolutely sucks. It seems like they only scan a handful of airlines. How do you book flights? Any better alternatives to Sky Scanner?

I usually use flightlist.io , it only shows one way tickets but that's how I normally travel anyway. Has some interesting tweaks and good results.
