7-Day Free Trails x Time Unlocks (The best Combo)
When Skool introduced 7-day free trials, it felt like a great way to let people experience the value of a community risk-free. But the real magic happens when you combine it with Time Unlocks. Here’s why this combo works so well: - Immediate Value: Trial members get access to enough content upfront to see the value of joining, keeping them hooked from day one. - Built-In Anticipation: By setting your most valuable courses or resources to unlock only after 7 days, you create excitement and a reason to stay beyond the Free Trial - Retention Made Easy: Members don’t just come for the free trial; they stick around to unlock the real gold after the trial period ends. If you’re using free trials, pairing them with time unlocks is hands-down the best way to keep members engaged and turning into paying subscribers. Let me know if it works for you

@Edward Catton Absolutely love this concept! One of the biggest questions I’ve been asking myself is how to maintain engagement, excitement, and anticipation. This seems to be the perfect way to do all three once my community goes monetized.

@Roman Pearl Love that you’re helping promote the free communities! Huge props! I have a free community for a limited time—the A&P Connection. It’s a place for aviators and aviation mechanics to share experiences, knowledge, and industry insights to ensure aviation maintenance is completed right 100% of the time.

@Maria Lupita Love your message! Happy thanksgiving! Cheers to new connections and thriving communities
There’s too many “I scaled to 10k/mo as a community owner”.
But not enough “I struggled doing XYZ”. This year I’ve: - Changed offers multiple times - Battled imposter syndrome - Felt like I was doing everything wrong That’s the reality of being a community owner… - Feeling overwhelmed by your work (even though you’re MRR is the same) - Juggling your clients, your business, and your personal life all at once - Not knowing if it will work Social media is a highlight reel. If you aren’t in the spotlight, you’re most likely eating glass. And that’s ok. I’m tired but love who I’m helping. That’s the journey of a community owner. PS: What’s your biggest failure?

@Jules Mundur I feel that big time. While my Skool community is extremely new and I wouldn’t even consider it ‘launched’ yet, my other ventures have definitely given me similar experiences. The battle between ‘I need to get this order out’ or ‘I need to contact these leads’ and ‘man I haven’t seen my buddy in months’ is very real. In terms of biggest failure, I would say mine is having prior commitments (vacation, planned meet up’s, etc.) and neglecting the business I am passionate about. I’ve watched ideas that hundreds of hours have gone into die in the span of a few days simply because ‘I needed a break’ when in reality the business was the only thing I truly looked forward to. I would say this: •Changing your offer is a natural progression—my offer continues to change as I realize things that can make it better. •If you don’t know if it will work, that’s even more of a reason to push/keep building. The only successful ventures I’ve started have stemmed from a ‘will this work’ or a ‘will anyone even use this’ question in my head. •Help is a necessity. Once you hit certain points, your next natural step is finding individuals who can cover the tedious, manual tasks. At a certain point, your greatest limitation may be the fact that you don’t have the help you need. It seems like one of the biggest struggles a lot of entrepreneurs face is trusting other individuals to take control of tasks the originator has ‘outgrown.’ The greatest part is, YOU get to be the trainer. YOU get to tell people the way something needs to be done and show them how to do it. That way, there’s no reason not to trust hired help. I’m with you—social media is more often than not a highlight reel. Just as the GOAT (Alex Hormozi) frequently points out, the Rocky training cut scene lasts a couple minutes on screen. In reality it was a matter of years! Keep pushing and know that you have a community of others with you pushing through the same struggles. Personally, I’m sitting here on Thanksgiving night going through the same battles. Cheers to the grind and the success that is soon to follow 🥂 Happy Thanksgiving!

A&P Connection — community for aviators and aircraft mechanics to pursue proper maintenance 100% of the time! 🛩️🔧

@Christian Crenshaw As a general and business aviation mechanic, I specialize in exactly that—aircraft that are generally medical, business, or private aircraft. While my community generally applies to all of aviation maintenance, I seek to specifically cater to private aircraft owners that perform maintenance on their own aircraft, as well as maintenance technicians that work on various private, business, and corporate aircraft. Through general discussions, experience sharing, and specialized courses, I intend to provide value to a community by highlighting tactics and ideals that will ensure proper maintenance is performed every single time an aircraft is touched.
