Introduce Yourself! ๐Ÿ™
I'm so unbelievably excited to establish this community. To build a community we must create familiarity between each other. Let's get to know each other. Drop a quick intro in the comments. Here's what to include: 1. Name: What do we call you? 2. From: Where you from? 3. Training Experience: Beginner? Been at it for a while? Other martial arts? Let us know. 4. One goal: Whats one thing you wanna crush in this program? 5. Random cool fact: I wanna be surprised! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ That's it! Keep it real and simple. Can't wait to meet you all!

Hola! ๐ŸŒž Iโ€™m Jax in Dallas, Texas. Iโ€™m excited to learn and join a community of Muay Thai lovers! Iโ€™ve been training Muay Thai for about 2.5 years - no other martial arts experience except for boxing workouts and mitt work. Iโ€™m truly excited to learn the โ€œslowerโ€ side of Muay Thai - the details that make a difference in how your defense and offense looks. Angling in and out, being the aggressor & controlling the match whilst having good defense and IQ. FUN fact - I love dancing & know many styles! I love instructing & performing salsa, merengue and bachata ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ

@Matt Ayuen In a way it has yes - however in dancing you stay close to your partner who isnโ€™t trying to teep you in the uterus hahahah. But otherwise it has absolutely helped with things like getting a switch kick down quicker, being mindful of range.
What do you want to see next?
Is there a technique you're having a hard time mastering? A style that is giving you a hard time in sparring? Maybe you gas too fast? Let me know! I am here to help you all along your journey! So Feedback on what you want to learn next is super helpful!

My goal before fighting this year is to improve at the details in Muay Thai and to improve my IQ. I want to focus on angling in/out; finding openings; not being fearful of moving forward/controlling the match. I think fear and panic sets in bc some dudes can go extremely hard during sparring and you get in your head about getting hurt or trying to avoid getting hit, therefore Iโ€™m focusing on moving back and getting out of the way instead of checking/blocking and finding an open shot. Iโ€™m excited to get through these current modules and use the info on the mats!
