What comes first, the feature or the benefit? When it comes to writing quality copy for your community, focusing on the benefit of the features is way more important than the features themselves. Think of the handle that's on every Stanley Tumbler. The handle is a feature. But what are the benefits of the handle? - It makes taking your Stanley to the gym a lot easier - You can bring it on walks - It turns your Stanley into a weapon for home intruders People will join your community when they understand what's in it for them. In other words, when they see the benefit(s) of what your community provides. Here's a fun video I made demonstrating this.

As a community owner (1x free, 1x paid community), I would like a new setting added to the Auto-DM Welcome Message plugin (see image), that, when set to ON, it forces the send of the Welcome message, even if I have a previous conversation with that user. SO THAT, a new paid member always receives the welcome message, and knows what to do when they join. The problem is that with a free-to-paid ascension model, the AutoDM feature never really fires for signups to the Paid group, because the user has normally always received the free community AutoDM. The other scenario when this would be helpful is when you ask the user a question before letting them in like “What brings you to the Community?” or asking them to add a profile picture etc.
