I list every single day as long as I have something good to list. I have close to 2000 items in ebay and across Mercari, Posh and Depop.
Are we at a disadvantage at Goodwill?
Is this some crap or what? I found this while doing research. Take a look. https://youtu.be/cTUt0Cv3zvs?si=Hr2u5tjvLQ7YKnpl

Yep, Bins and Indie stores. There is gold to find, but the search is long. I am now spending more time searching, and less time buying an listing. I buy less, and just the best i can find that will make a profit with a good STR. If I find cool that will make a profit, or will but are long haul, I really really consider before buying unless i want it for me :)
Made my 1st EBay Sale
I listed my first two items this week. Some selvedge jeans and a women’s corduroy Ralph Lauren blazer. I sold the blazer. 🎉 But disclaimer - I had free shipping, promoted at 14%, and dropped the price to $25. My cut was like $9. 😂 I just wanted to sell something and see how the whole process worked. In the meantime, I listed all my Judy Blues on my local moms sale fb pages and sold them all within an hour. I’m sure I could make like twice as much if I waited around on eBay but I’m not sure I have the patience for it. Also, it takes me about 10 minutes to photograph a whole pile to sell local and about 15 minutes per item on eBay. Haha. The whole process of learning what y’all do has really given me such an appreciation for the hard work that goes into it! I found a love for digging through the bins and shopping at local charity shops. I think I may be heading toward using my finds to create Upcycled things and just keep selling locally as well. It’s all just for me to make some spending money. But I love this group and I love to see and hear about everyone’s success! Y’all are rockstars and I just wanted to say I have such an appreciation for everything that goes into making this kind of business a success! There’s so many ways to do it and I love Beau’s willingness to be a positive leader for us and provide such a valuable resource! Anyways, just wanted to share!

Great job! Don't worry too much about the returns ...YET. Get your feet wet and cover your costs, buy more inventory with any profits and repeat.
USPS Shipping
How do you handle shipping with USPS. Do you take items to the post office to ship? Do you schedule a pick up at your house with USPS? Do you just put your items in the mail box and raise the flag? I personally installed a larger mail box at my current place, and now I just place the items in the mail box and raise the flag. If I am heading into town for something I will usually always drop my items off at the USPS office. Every once in a while my items will not fit in the larger box and I take then to the Post office also. The carriers have told me that if I ever have too many items or just larger items that don't fit, I can just place a note in the box to let them know and they will pick them up. I have never done this though because I have a farm, and never no what I will be working on or where I will be. Times for my carrier pick up varies widely here at this place, as early as 9am- and as late as 4pm. By the way, do you know that you can sign up for delivery notifications from the USPS? They will send you daily images of the mail items being delivered each day along with a list of packages that are coming in. I signed up for this because I had a neighbor with sticky fingers at my old house. So I had to keep track of what was coming in each day. I never mailed anything out from my mail box at that farm because of this. How do you handle USPS?

I kind of use the USPS shipping as a way to get out of the house. If I have a carriable about of items, I walk and drop them at the local postal annex shop. Then I continue to the park and maybe do a workout of some type. If it's a big day. I drive and then look for a sourcing opportunity or buy supplies. No matter which, it's a time to listen to the Mr. Ballen podcast along the way.
Am I crazy because I am not listing a pair of Arcteryx shorts on myeBay?
My goal is 100% STR for listed items. These arcteryx shorts only bringing 73% STR . I want to be certain, 100% certain, that in 90 days they will sell 100% of the time . I don’t have time for 73% of the time. Crazy ? Yes or no?
