How to deal with an obnoxious co-worker?

Just had to share this. Let me tell you about mine. Every Monday morning, without fail, this guy comes in talking about his "epic" weekend in the loudest voice possible. He interrupts everyone, whether you're on a call or in the middle of a task, just to recount every single detail of his adventures – most of which are way too personal for the workplace. 🍭 And it's not just Mondays. He’s constantly bragging about how much better he is at everything. Got a new project? He’s done it before and “could do it with his eyes closed.” Need to brainstorm? He shoots down every idea that’s not his own. The worst part? He never misses an opportunity to take credit for other people's work. It’s exhausting. Anyone else dealing with a similar "workplace superstar"? How do you handle it?

How to manage a conflict at work?
We all will get into conflicts at times. Let's take a quick look at the typical ways you can react to it. - Avoiding: Some people prefer to avoid conflicts altogether, often by withdrawing from the situation or ignoring the issue. Mmm, not a very effective strategy. - Accommodating: Accommodators prioritize the needs and desires of others over their own, often sacrificing their own interests to maintain harmony. May sound like an effective way out, but it reduces your views and insights to zero. - Competing: Competitors assert their own interests and goals, often at the expense of others, and strive to 'win' the conflict. It's another extreme. Again, not the way to go, since it will ruin the relationships with others. - Compromising: Compromisers seek middle-ground solutions that partially satisfy the needs of all parties involved. This is sometimes the best outcome you can get, but it's not always the very best. - Collaborating: Finally, Collaborators strive for win-win outcomes, by actively involving all parties, seeking to understand their perspectives, and finding mutually beneficial solutions. Here you are. They got it. They come to conclusions that are fully supported by all. Useful?

Agreed on that one. It's testosteron that often puts aside the compromise option. 🙃
