DIY Website Design Tools
Does anyone have a good DIY website design tool that you’ve used in the past? I have a friend who is looking to launch a crafting business for her quilting. She doesn’t want to spend an arm & leg to create a website.

I would suggest she consider starting with Etsy or similar sites that have a quilter audience, before creating her own website, if she has not done so already. If she already has a social media following or a list of people to sell to, then sure build a Shopify site to leverage her community. But if not, I always encourage people to test the market and learn how to promote their goods and build up a community before building an ecommerce site of their own. They will learn a lot. Then they can bring the preparation and experience gained to their own site, once they are ready.

High everyone. I just joined the group from Alberta, Canada. I'm highly collaborative, so I hope to meet others with a similar orientation. As an introduction: I've been a coach and fractional exec for 18 years now. I specialize in helping startup founders and SMEs. I started out in direct response marketing way back in the mid-90's, so I bring a strong research, data, analytics and results orientation to what I do. I've been heavily involved in all things internet since 2000. I look at sales and marketing from a holistic commercialization and customer's journey LTV perspective, working to shift founders away from Random Acts of Marketing towards a systematic, customer-centric and measurement-based approach. I look forward to learning about you and your practices and sharing opportunities.

@Nicki Straza That's cool. Alberta is beautiful. That's an interesting question. I just joined the group, so no collaborations here yet. But lately I've been very excited about collaborating with a research group called ClientInsight.ca in Calgary. They do in-depth customer and employee interviews at intervals along the customer's life cycle. I met them through networking and I really like their approach and actionable feedback. We've been doing more and more work together as their input is extremely unique and powerful. I think I'm having the most fun collaborating with them right now.
