It’s changed how I see social media platforms. There can be one with a positive focus.
Posting categories in here have changed!
You might have noticed that the "FUN" posting category has been removed. (It was a new addition to categories in here a few months ago, but some people were having a bit too much fun unrelated to Skool, a bit too often 😛). You will now see you have the following options: 1. Product feedback about Skool (sharing general feedback) 2. Product Question (TIP 👉 use the "search" bar as your question most likely already has lots of great answers already!) 3. Feature request (eg I would love to see X feature on Skool) 4. Strategy (Skool/growth related strategy) 5. Bug report (obvious one here for reporting any tech bugs🐞 ) You might notice there are no categories for: ❌ Promoting yourself, or your offers ❌ Channeling your inner Mr Motivator (UK friends you'll know who he is!) to keep everyone else exercising/working/taking action/sleeping better/etc (as much as this is a lovely gesture, it's best off in your own Skool group.) ❌ Asking questions not related to Skool (eg things like "how is your day going?/what did you eat for lunch today?") ❌ Offering coaching (again best off to keep for your own groups, or even better with paying clients.) ❌ PP4P (aka pointless posts for points see here.) 😛 Now, this does not meant there is still no fun in here! We had big fun before the fun category was added, and still will now it has gone. Maybe it will reappear, maybe not. But keeping posts in here high quality and related to Skool is always a great place to start. Then head to the comments for the fun and banter and to GIF away with your Skool friends! 😎 (and don't forget to head to Discovery to find communities related to your hobbies and interests where discussions won't be Skool focused and/or start your own Skool group where you can choose your own categories!) Here's to us all sharing great things in here and having a great finish to 2024! 😎

I like this better. To much noise. Love motivation but want actionable strategy and help when needed. And to help in return.

@Jade Jemma because people will feel like they need to comment vs doing the work.
Power of Reputation 🌟
I just got the strangest phone call. It was from a teacher wanting to get the program I used to coordinate from my last job. I got fired from that job over a year ago. After a short 5-min phone call . . . This teacher is now going to have me speak to his students about entrepreneurship, and he's joining my community on Skool! Because I put myself out there, my reputation with teachers and students has lasted at that organization. Even after being fired. Even after being gone for over a year. You never know when the stranger you meet on the street will become your next best client 🙌 Story time! What's the weirdest place you found a lead or prospect and how did it happen?

It’s funny even those that educate often don’t understand entrepreneurship. Truly needs to be in all our school.

@Patrice Simoneau I will. Got a 9 year old niece. Gotta break generational trends.
Crushed Past 20 Members on DAY ONE!
Hey everyone! 🎉 We’ve officially hit 20 members on DAY ONE of launching our Combat Fitness Community on Skool! I couldn’t be more happy about the momentum we’ve already got going. Over the past few years we had been getting tonnes of requests for a dedicated community, and we finally did it! Now, we’re using Skool to bring together everything from our daily newsletters to mindset, motivation, and nutrition modules – and giving it away for FREE, to give back to our audience. Huge shoutout to everyone who helped make this possible! Thank you all for your posts and advice. Looking forward to building this community and continuing to grow with all of you! PS - what is your one biggest piece of advice for keeping an active community??

That’s so fire. Combat Fitness sounds fun and intense. How do you structure fitness online?
Day 26 of Building My Skool Community (Lessons and Learnings)
I think I might be saving people's lives? I received one of the most intense, serious, and urgent DMs from a new member in the past 24 hours (see attachment for full message) Just wow. The only thing I could think of was just to send him my Calendly (usually for quick 15-30 minute meetings), hear his story, then develop a plan of action to help... We ended up talking for 2.5 hours and I got him to start taking action IMMEDIATELY This surprised me and makes me a little bit nervous about the sheer 'weight' these Skool communities may actually be carrying...

You never really know how many people you impact. They may not say anything but they are there, watching.
