Do Vitamen C and supplements affect readings on keto mojo meter when having OMD protocol with low carb and more fat and protein diet
I have been on OMD low carb (50 gm) diet and my glucose levels are in the range of 87 to 94 while keto remain under 0.5 (sometime 0.3, 0.6 etc ) . During my 3 days water fast I checked my GIK. My sugar was same as above - 94 but my ketones reading went up to 3.4 and GIK evaluated was 1.17. Question : during my OMD , why my readings if ketones are under 0.5 ?? Because of Vitamen C and other supplements??? Please advice

@Mustafa Jivanjee 50 grams of carbohydrates is still way too much... you need to get it under 20... this is definitely impairing your ability to get the results you want
Metabolic therapy with diagnose: small-cellic, neuroindocrine carzinoma (stomach with metastasis)
Hi guys I am new here. And I wanted to know if you know someone who was diagnosed with neuroendocrine carcinoma and tried metabolic therapy? I wanted to know your experiences with that. Unfortunately my fater got diagnosed with it. He already made one chemotherapy and is currently doing his second one in combination with methadon. He is under palliative medicine. What kind of diet should he do during the chemotherapy? Kind regards and thank you all Emre

@Emre Goecen the quickest way into ketosis is a combination of water fasting with a strict keto / carnivore elimination diet consisting of very high fatty meat... this puts the body back into it's classical state... the brain will release HGH the deeper into it you get which will prevent mass loss... you will lose some weight but as long as you are eating once a day or every other day this should be ok... once you're in that you introduce healthy oxidative stressors like HBOT or high dose vitamin C... or you can try anti-parasitic drugs such as Fenbendazole

@Emre Goecen Research Nasha Winters, Ken Berry, and Anthony Chaffee... they've all got some excellent things to say about this lifestyle
Calories, protein and restriction on long term Keto
Any thoughts on what the max calories per day and max protein per day should be if we are achieving a gki of 2 or less? Also how to accurately measure what ones basal metabolic rate (outside of calories logged on a Garmin or similar) Some books I've read discuss quite low protein when it comes to fighting cancer - 0.5 grams per kilo, tho others recommend double or even triple that amount.

@Alistair Kernick forget counting calories... you are right on the protein... traditional carnivore diet is what generally gives people the best results but you want to modify it to include lots more fats as this will help you get into ketosis faster and stay there... too much protein and the body will convert this to glucose via gluconeogensis
Has Anyone Followed the Paleolithic Ketogenic Diet for 6 Months or More?
As individuals managing a metabolic disease, we often face dilemmas when choosing what to eat. Dairy or no dairy, this plant or that plant, this meat or that meat. I know there is no perfect answer and not all of us can depend on studies as it takes a special skill to decipher real studies from the biases in studies funded by big food and big pharma. I’d like to share my quick story about several detours in my diet journey: 1. Initially, I followed a clean diet of mostly plants, fish, eggs, grain, and other whole foods (e.g., cruciferous veggies, nuts, avocados, berries, salmon, fermented soy, kefir, wheat bread, etc). 2. After developing the metabolic disease, I changed to a ketogenic diet, it’s only been a few months. 3. Recently, I found the Paleolithic Ketogenic Diet (PKD), focusing on four-legged animal meat, animal fat, and organ meat. No dairy, no plants, no grain, no vegetable oils, no fish, no eggs. Having been on PKD for just a week, I've been feeling good, but of course, it’s subjective. Hence my question. I'd love to hear from anyone who has followed PKD for 6 months or longer. I would appreciate your experience and insights. I would also appreciate an expert comment from @Johnny Rockermeier if you will. Thank you

@Fitch T the carnivore elimination diet is highly recommended for fighting cancer... however there is too much protein in the traditional carnivore which will raise your blood sugar levels as your body converts the excess protein into glucose via gluconeogenesis... you want to eat lots of extra fats... about 80% fats to 20% protein to get the maximum effects of ketosis... I get the extra fats thru fat trimmings... avocados... thai coconut milk... lots of ghee butter things like that
Well Balanced Diet
It's important to have a healthy well balanced breakfast when managing cancer... maybe add some electrolytes or throw in some black coffee if you really need a boost... the longer you can keep the fast going throughout the day the better... will post GKI numbers each day to demonstrate
