Our next book for Product Bookclub book is Good Strategy / Bad Strategy
What's up everyone! Hope you all managed to get through Good to Great with the longer schedule. It really helped me label a lot of behaviours I'm seeing across the product space right now, which is impressive for a book that's over 20 years old! This time round we'll be reading - Good Strategy / Bad Strategy by Richard Rumlet. This is the first book I've done that's a re-read for me, but having read it before I can confidently say it's a must read for anyone who wants to level up their understanding of Strategy! _________________________ What’s Product Bookclub? _________________________ It's an online bookclub for the members of Product Synthesis - each round I’ll announce a new Product book that I’ll be reading, and anyone in the community is welcome to read (or listen) along with me! If you’re like me, and love reading, but don’t have enough people to discuss what you’re learning, then this’ll be perfect for you! We'll do a couple of check-ins before we do the summary, and you'll find all the calls in the calendar. _________________________ So, if you're looking for something to read this month, I hope you'll join us! 👊

Skipped the last book in favor of learning about marketing. I did buy good Strategy /bad strategy so I will get started this week!
We're reading 'Good to Great' for this Month's Product Bookclub!
Hi! Hope you enjoyed reading 'Transformed' as much as I did! Hoping to catch some of you during the summary today (at 7pm CEST) This month, we'll be reading 'Good to Great' by Jim Collins. The book explores how to shift product orgs over to the 'Product Operating Model', raising the awareness of the increasing need for Product Coaching in modern product orgs. I loved reading Empowered at the end of last year, so I'm confident this'll be a worthwhile read too. _________________________ What’s Product Bookclub? _________________________ It's an online bookclub for the members of Product Synthesis - each month I’ll announce a new Product book that I’ll be reading throughout the month, and anyone in the community is welcome to read (or listen) along with me! If you’re like me, and love reading, but don’t have enough people to discuss what you’re learning, then this’ll be perfect for you! I've changed the schedule a little for this one, as we're heading into the summer I thought I'd see how folks feel about a 6 week schedule for the bookclub instead of the monthly cadence we've been doing so far this year!

Sorry I'll miss the summary today. I'll get the next book!
Updating the Bookclub Schedule for the Summer
Hi all, Trying a little experiment over the summer, we're going to slow down on the bookclub just a little. So, instead of the usual schedule, we'll be testing out a six week schedule, where we'll do two check-in calls instead of one! 16th of May - Bookclub Check-in @ 7pm CEST 30th of May - Bookclub Check-in @ 7pm CEST 13th of June - Bookclub Summary @ 7pm CEST I'll test this out over the summer and see how it works for everyone, before deciding if we stick to that cadence or not long term. But, in the meantime if you've got any thoughts on this change, please let me know in the comments! P.S. incase you missed it - this month we're reading 'Good to Great' by Jim Collins.

Oh this is great!
This Month's Product Bookclub Book is UX Strategy (2nd Edition)
What's up friend! The year is just zipping by isn't it - I hope you all enjoyed Blink! I'm looking forward to the summary call next week (7pm CET on the 7th of March!) This month, we're going to shift gears and read UX Strategy (2nd Edition) by Jamie Levy. The First edition was one of the first books I read on Strategy back in 2016 when I really felt myself taking this 'strategy' thing seriously for the first time. When I heard that Jamie was putting out a 2nd Edition - it went onto my reading list, and I'm pretty excited to dive into it! If you're a Product Strategist, UX Designer, or Product Manager - I'm confident you'll take a lot away from this book - so I hope you'll join me in reading it this month! We’ll do a mid-way check-in call to discuss our findings on the 21st of March at 14:30 CET, and then I’ll do a live summary where we’ll go deep on the entire book on the 4th of April at 7pm CET to discuss and reflect on what we’ve learned together. You’ll find the calls scheduled in the Calendar, I’m looking forward to seeing some of you there soon! And, If you’ve got any questions - just drop ‘em below! Cheers, David

Here's my Miro Idea Funnel board to manage and execute on ideas individually and as teams
I use this to visualize, organize and manage all my top ideas, opportunity and challenge signals for projects. Its a framework that orgajizes the feedback loop and creative process to go from solid observation capture, to framing the concepts, measuring its potential impact and effort, prioritizing a back log for work to do that supports your larger product or business strategy. And hands off top picks to an LDJ session to collaborate with team further and execute I hope some of you get value out of using this and modeling after it for the work you do on an individual level to organize your creative process and workshop yourself. As well as with your clients I'd would love your feedback on anything you like most or think could make it even bettet. About the Board - It’s a blend of an agile PM, VOC feedback loop process that feeds back into larger product strategy and a blend of Design Thinking workshop exercises like the Concept card and LDJ - You can check out the board here Idea Funnel Board - I created this about 5 years back once I realized: "you must workshop yourself well before workshopping with others" - When and How I use it - when managing my own efforts - + a team version when working with teams on projects - Insight that indicates this MIRO Idea Funnel Board “has  legs” to resonate well with many of our core audiences - Originally I thought maybe I just  this board because it's "my baby" and supports how my brain works - After sharing this board  with over 15 alumni and old co-workers. I’ve confirmed it's pretty universally loved with AMAZING reactions
