FULL GUIDE: HOW TO INCREASE YOUR WORK ETHIC.
Task > Boredom > Stimulation. The Main Mindset Analogy Which Helped Me To Get From, Not Being Able To Work For More Than 2 Mins A Day To Doing 5hrs of ONLY WORK TIME In A Day (where I sat at my desk for 7 hrs or more) [Both calculated using a timer, which i turned off everytime i wasn't actually working or when i couldn't get myself to focus] Your No 1 Priority Must Be "ACTUALLY DOING THE TASK", Where You Prioritize Getting Into A Flow State (In Simple Terms This Is How You Enter a Flow State, You Focus On The Work, Your Mind Wanders Away, You Catch Yourself Wandering, You Bring Yourself Back To Focusing On The Task. You Keep Doing This Repeatedly And You'll Get To A Point Where Your Mind Doesn't Wander Anymore, 💥 You Have Entered Flow State. After A While The Thoughts Start To Creep Back In And Gets More Intense And Intense, This Is When You Are Coming To The End Of Your Flow State Cycle) Your No 2 Priority, When You Find Yourself Not Being Able To Focus No Matter How Hard Your Trying Is To "BE BORED", Sit Idle, Stare At A Wall, Lay Down or Get Into A NSDR (non sleep deep rest, you can watch ANDREW HUBERMAN's videos on this topic) Cycle. I used to have 1½ hrs of Work Block Where I Would Prioritize Getting Into A Flow State And A 20mins Rest Block Where I Would Prioritize Staying Idle And letting My Mind Wonder Freely (Which would get me recovered for the next flow state block) The Reason For This, Is You Are Still Gaining A Little Bit Momentum To Actually do the MAIN TASK, because let's be honest There Are Times When Doing The Work Is Really Boring, Where You Just Can't Be Bothred To Do Anything, So Practicing Being Bored Is Like The Warm Up In A Game Before You Actually Start The Match. Your Last Priority (No 3) Is STIMULATION, The Reason Why I Couldn't Focus Before (you probably relate to this), I Would Start To Do A Task, After A While I Would Jump On My Phone And Stimulate Myself With Entertainment And When I Try Working Again I Just Couldn't Focus No Matter How Hard I Kept Trying.
