According to Einstein, I am an extremely intelligent person 😎
Most people reading this don’t know that 10 years ago I was: -FAT -LAZY -BROKE -SKILLESS -ADDICTED -HOPELESS -SWAGLESS -DEPRESSED 😫I could honestly say I WAS A LOSER. Just under a decade ago I decided that I was no longer going to settle for the miserable existence I created for myself. And I slowly but surely began to change EVERY single aspect of my life for the better. ⏩Fast forward 10yrs and I have a life I couldn’t have even imagined. 🔥Here’s some things I’ve learned that I want to share with you if you’re on the fence about making the changes that you keep thinking about making: 1. It’s always uncomfortable at first. If it’s not, then you have to go bigger. 2. You can always tell who’s real and who’s fake when you start making positive changes. Your fake friends won’t want to see you on the come up. It makes them feel guilty about not doing anything to improve their life. Real friends will support and encourage you. 3. Change often opens doors to new experiences, opportunities, and connections you wouldn’t have encountered otherwise. 4. Navigating change can strengthen your ability to adapt to life’s challenges, making you more resilient in the face of future difficulties. 5. As you successfully make positive changes, your self-esteem and confidence grow, motivating you to tackle other areas of life. 6. Your positive change usual inspires other people to make the changes they need to make as well. It comes down to this. 👇 If you want to see positive change in the world YOU HAVE TO BECOME THE CHANGE FIRST! Then you can share your intelligence with others the way I do. 💯This is the ultimate purpose of life. This is the underlying mission of the Academy of Adulting. 💥YOU HAVE A DUTY TO YOURSELF, YOUR FAMILY, AND SOCIETY AS A WHOLE. What will you do with your potential?

@Ricky Carilli alright you caught me I think some resources around mentorship would be useful. I've often found myself wishing I had more direct guidance or a group to come to for support. Events based around sharing how we're doing, what we're struggling with, things we're proud of etc. Context: I'm 24, married, bought a house, have two kids. Nobody my age has kids, and those with kids my age don't feel like they want to connect. Over the last 3 years I've learned the hard way how to manage myself and pick up the slack to be a better husband and father. But having support around things I'm struggling with and guidance in the rough patches would be greatly beneficial.

Killer Back Workout
I understand a lot of people in our community may not be into fitness, and that's okay. I do, however, want to stress the importance of taking care of yourself physically. It literally affects almost everything else in your life. It's not just about looking good. It's about FEELING GOOD. It's about DEVELOPING DISCIPLINE and RESILIENCE. It's about teaching yourself DELAYED GRATIFICATION. Most importantly, in my opinion, it's about BUILDING SELF-CONFIDENCE. Something slowly begins to change in your brain when you start consistently doing difficult things that you probably don't want to do. Don't get it twisted. There are VERY FEW days when I look forward to working out. Yearly, I can probably count those days on two hands. So why do I go? Because besides those reasons I mentioned above, I know that I don't feel good about myself when im not pushing myself in all areas of my life. The purpose of all life is constant growth and progression. And thats what the Academy of Adulting is all about! Feel free to reach out to me about any wellness, fitness, nutrition related advice. I am fully certified in all of those areas, and have been living this life for almost two decades. PS: The gym has been the first place I return to when recovering from many of the rock bottoms situations I've overcome in my life. I have also noticed that whenever I am not consistently exercising, other areas of my life become negatively affected as well.

@Ricky Carilli love this 🙌 The simplicity and honesty is awesome. Figure out what works for you and then do it. I'm trying to get better at actually sleeping on time and eating when I'm hungry rather than at set times. This flame wasn't easy to get haha!

You WILL figure it out…eventually
🙏 Don’t beat yourself up if you feel like you’re getting older and haven’t figured it all out yet. Most people are 50+ and still barely have a clue what they’re doing in life. Because they never take the time to sit down and think about what they want in life. I mean REALLY think. And write it down. Then start taking action. Obsess over your goals. And if you decide to change direction, which I have done several times in my adult life, THAT’S OKAY TOO! PS: Parents, if you’re seeing this, please don’t stress out if your kid is in this situation right now. It’s normal. Don’t add additional pressure. Offer them options to consider. And wait it out 💯This is the way.
