"Most startups don't die of starvation... they die of indigestion instead!"
Afrer starting 7 companies (so far), I heard that statement for the first time today... and it struck me on how true that is. Yes, I've been lucky to bring them all to some level of success yet it made me think of how easily a different outcome could have happened. That made me think of all the solopreneurs, coaches, consultants and freelancers that are continuously bombarded by offers, opportunities, social media, new tools, tech and apps, etc. To me, it raises the importance for each of us to ask "what is the one thing" that we need to focus on to reach our next success level and what do I need to "brutally cut out of my life" that doesn't support getting there. This is the perfect time of the year to be "one-thing focused" in each of the key elements of your life. This. means business, family, health, money and faith... to me. What are those to you and how do you ensure that your digestion doesn't slow you down or stop you?

Yes, I've long taught my clients to do the Start, Stop and Keep Doing exercise. Its so simple and yet hard to do.
Your Content Needs to Answer.........
Here are 3 questions your content needs to answer...... 1) What? If people don’t see or feel the problem, they won’t look for a solution. Your content should highlight the pain or gap they’re experiencing. You are educating on what the problem is. People might not see it. 2) Why? This is where you shift their perspective. It’s about helping them realize why their current approach isn’t working. The beliefs they’ve held until now need to be challenged. 2) Why you? Now that you've addressed the problem and shifted their thinking, you show them that your solution is the answer. But it's not just about selling your product or service—it’s about reinforcing how your solution solves the problem in a way others can’t. That's what your content should do, not as a separate post, but you need to look at them as a whole. Everything starts with the you and your target audience: - If you want to know 'WHAT', you need to know what problem are you solving. - If you want to know 'WHY', you need to know the person you solve the problem for. - If you want to know 'WHY YOU', you need to know your unique value and how your solution is different from others. That's why setting a foundation is the most important step. If you don't do it right, then everything else won't work. We can do all of this in ONE strategy session! Love this post Suzanne... its one of those messages that deserves to be printed out and "tacked to the wall" for future reference. (Remember the days of the office cork board?)
Referral PODs Begin Today at 4 pm est!
🎉 Welcome to the Referral POD Experience! 🎉 Get ready to dive into an exciting journey of building authentic connections, sharing impactful referrals, and growing your network like never before! This isn’t your typical networking event—this is a high-energy, high-value gathering designed to bring together ambitious leaders who are ready to support each other’s success. 🚀 Here’s What to Expect: 🚀 1. Kick-Off with Purpose: We’ll start in the main room with a quick intro on the power of referrals and how this event can be a game-changer for your business. 2. Introduce Yourself in the Big Room: You’ll have the chance to introduce yourself to the whole group, sharing a quick pitch about who you are, who you work with, and your ideal client. This is all about making those instant connections! 3. Breakout Room Magic: Next, you’ll join a smaller breakout POD with about 10 other incredible people. Here, you’ll dive deeper: 4. Build Lasting Connections: Your accountability partner will be there to cheer you on, exchange referrals, and keep you motivated. Together, you’ll be able to host your own mini-referral parties and keep expanding your reach. 5. Take Action!: We’ll give you some simple resources to make it easy to keep track of the connections you make here and follow up with confidence. This event is your chance to meet others who “get” you and want to help you succeed. So bring your energy, share openly, and let’s create some incredible new referral partnerships! 🙌 Let’s make this Referral PODs unforgettable! Link to meeting! Assets Needed for Success 1. Intro Paragraph Written in the Third Person:A professional bio for each participant, written in the third person, helps ensure each member can easily introduce themselves and provide background for others to refer them. 2. One-Sheet:Each participant should prepare a one-sheet detailing their services, ideal client profile, and contact information. This sheet can be shared before or after the event for easy reference. 3. Speaking Topics (if you are a Speaker): If applicable, include a list of speaking topics or key expertise areas for participants who may be available as speakers. This is particularly valuable for participants who want to align with other professional speakers or organizers. 4. CRM and System for Tracking Connections:A CRM or simple spreadsheet where participants can track contacts, follow-up dates, and notes on each referral or conversation. This can help them remember key details about each person they meet, leading to stronger follow-ups and referrals.
