Focus on THIS
Wife sent me this earlier today and it IMMEDIATELY made me think of you guys! Far too often we place too much care and consideration into things that just don’t matter. This creates sometimes crippling levels of anxiety. The facts are, so much of the things that we stress about in life are outside our control. I’m not saying be apathetic on items that you don’t have any control in, but I would urge you all to do your level best moving forward to shelf the things that you cannot. I’m telling you right now, your level of stress will reduce ten fold, and your ability to think clearly will take off!

Don't Sweat the Small Things.
Non-Negotiables
Been one HELL of a day.... Kids were difficult to get out the door for school...Camera man had a family emergency (which prevented me being able to get to the Windmill tutorial)...wife didn't get off work til late...and to cap it all off, the kids all of a sudden decided they didn't like pot roast (something they usually LOVE)... It was just one of those days... BUT, in the midst of those giant shit storm days like this where it seems like the cosmos won't let you accomplish a single thing, you MUST show some grit and knock out at the VERY LEAST your daily non-neogtiables (the tasks you identify as the ones you WILL NOT go to bed without accomplishing). Devote yourself to doing this, and even on your shittiest days, you'll be investing that "1% increase" that is required to get you to where you wanna be... With that, I want you to do me and you a favor by letting me know YOUR non-negotiables in the discussion below... P.S. As much as I didn't feel like it, I ended the day on a positive. I dragged my sorry ass to the gym and FORCED myself to put in at least a quick 15 minute banger (check it out tomorrow on YouTube)...

I had a rough day at work. My youngest son is also stressing me out about election results. I got to gym and did farmers walk for three sets of 12 with 45 pound plates. Gym was mobbed. Did one hour on assault bike for 11 miles. 🏄
Who’s Ready?!
Suffice to say next week is going to likely be an absolute shit show of a week here in the states. Just want to remind you though that wherever you stand on things, whichever side of the political spectrum, win or lose, absolutely NOTHING will or should change about how you approach your goals. Your job is simple. Stay focused, and stay the course! Let’s f*cking go! Hands Up✊🏼✊🏼, Keep Fighting👊🏼👊🏼!!!

New York. From library to Staten Island for marathon. Friend is set. I am going back to Manhattan. Find breakfast spot. Look for spot by Central Park to watch runners. Carrying one pound hand Egg Weights for added weight for walking.
Hope vs. Expectations
Simple question I want you to ask yourself and marinate on today...Do you HOPE to succeed with your goals? Or do you EXPECT to succeed with them? If you have faith in your daily process, and have a high standard of excellence with how you carry out every single action you take, then you'll get to where you want. If not, then you and I need to reevaluate your approach on the (1) training, (2) diet, and (3) mindset side of the equation.... After answering the above questions, PLEASE chime in with questions about how I can be a resource to help right the ship. That's why I'm here...LFG!!! Hands up, KEEP FIGHTING!!!

Coach: great question. I vision my success. When I workout I think of the exercise that I am doing and what form to do correctly. I always believed that failure today builds tomorrow success - in life, work and health. Thank you. I only did 15 sets of 12 reps with 200 pounds on Life Fitness leg press machine. Following Dodgers in World Series. Games get over at 11:30 PM. Picture is wife and I with gd at her softball game.🏄
