You just never know...
Hi everyone! I just wanted to share something that I hope encourages you. In addition to building my cleaning business, I also hold a real estate license and work another part-time job in the evenings. Recently, I made the decision to put my real estate license into a holding company. While it was a bit of a letdown—because I do enjoy that field—both businesses require a tremendous amount of time and financial commitment, which became a strain. When I called my association to start the process, a woman I know there reminded me of their affiliate program. She checked their database and noticed they didn’t have any cleaning companies as affiliate partners. We decided to sign up as a partner, and she mentioned that an email will be sent to all association members on Monday, introducing us as a new affiliate partner and providing our contact information. This came about from simply answering a question she asked me: “So, Tracey, what are you going to be doing now that you’re pausing your real estate business?” I replied, “I’m growing my cleaning company.” Even though I know this is the right decision, I still felt a little down about stepping away from real estate. But I made sure to approach the phone call with a positive attitude, and I believe she picked up on that energy. What initially felt like a step backward has, I believe, turned into two steps forward.

@Avi Arturovi Have you looked into associations yet? I just received a call from a realtor that's a member of the association and have a walkthrough scheduled for tomorrow morning with their client.

@Mark Lineberry It went well. They scheduled a first time deep cleaning and monthly service after that.
Igniting Momentum! 🔥
Thanks to @Mark Lineberry for Sparking Three Walkthroughs and Counting! I had three walkthroughs this month so far and another scheduled for Friday. Going to check out your pricing course to make sure my numbers are where I want them.

@Trever Grubbs I received some leads from the realtor association I recently joined. I also have been going through current clients letting them know we have some availability and asked for referrals. Called up past prospects to check in and see if we could help with any of their cleaning needs.
Wall cleaner
Hey everyone. I have a commercial client requesting to get the walls in their small office cleaned twice a year. What do you all use to clean the walls for your commercial clients?

@Mark Lineberry A full-service barge terminal. After a few regular cleanings, they were really pleased with our quality of work and reached out to us for a deeper clean to help restore the office's professional look. They mentioned wanting the office to look more like an office space and less like part of the warehouse, so for the deep clean, they requested services like wiping down the walls.

Hey gang (and @Avi Arturovi ), I was going to give these out once I hired an employee but that hasn't happened yet. So I wanted to give these out now if you needed help or inspiration on a future ad. Example 1 Example 2 (based on Michalowicz's Clockwork framework) Happy hiring!

Proposal Review w/ Prospective Client
Hello All! I have a meeting tomorrow with a prospective client. We have already conducted the walk-through, I sent them the proposal twice (They stated that they would provide the cleaning tools and products), and even told them that I would honor a 25% discount for the first two months. They want to meet and basically make a few changes, which I know will be towards the cost. I am a little nervous for 3 reasons: 1) I am unsure what is going to happen in this meeting and this is the first time that I am going to be involved in something such as this and I want to look like I know what I am talking about. I even printed out booklets that has a copy of the cost breakdown and the proposed contract for us to discuss in real time. 2) I would like to secure a client, my very first one and use it as a learning opportunity but I do not want to do free work, especially because I would like to hire out. Still deciding on W2 or 1099. The client has 2 salon suites, 4500 SQ FT and 5000 SQ FT. They would like for us to focus primarily on the shared spaces, so common area, breakroom, 2 bathrooms, hallways. They stated their current cleaner takes 1.5 hours for each site, 5 days a week (M, W, TH, F, S). Based on Labor cost, hours, and frequency, the final quote was for 1,022 and 942 dollars. Let me know your thoughts and what is the minimum you would go? The only way it would really benefit me is if I did the cleaning for them rather than hire someone. 3) If I do get this client, I am still like... what next lol Sorry long, but would love any feedback, motivation, advise, etc. Thank you all!!!

@Kendra Watkins I agree with the others, I wouldn't give pricing breakdown. I actually just picked up a salon that's between 2,500-2,800 sqft and it takes my cleaner just under two hours to complete it. Hope this helps.
