What tools, settings and processes do you use to blend different libraries?
Hi all, I'm interested in learning from you all how you blend different recorded libraries? For my taste, this can be detailed so that it can be recreated directly if someone is interested. - Tools, settings and procedures. ______ Here is what I have found to blend Spitfire libraries recorded in Lyndhurst AIR, such as Albion and Symphonic Orchestra with dry recorded libraries: I'm using MIR PRO from VSL with Maria Strassengel IR, a stereo triple-8 spaced (Var 2) mic in Middle of Nave main mic position, a stereo 115 degree Cardioids as secondary mic on Organ Gallery position, 2.2s reverb length and 50/50% dry/wet setting. And I use the Synchron Stage A (Portrait) / Vienna Standards presets for the positioning of the individual instruments and then move the positions forward or backward so that they fit into the floor plan of the church. I use the Spitfire libraries with close mic position and send them through Mir Pro as well. If I want a little longer reverb, I add a little tail from VSL Hybrid Reverb to everything with the Berlin Stage Near preset with Early Reflections turned down to 0. I also tried to match the Spitfire sound identically, using a spectrum matcher at the end to match the sound of a Spifire Lyndhurst AIR library created in the above way to the reference of the Spifire library with Far mic position without anything afterwards. But I ended up liking the version without this final adjustment better.

Musio Feedback?
For those using Musio what do you think? Good points, bad points? I'm on a trial and it seems like an easy decision $200 lifetime-ish (with optional annual upgrades to expand your library). It seems already loaded with a lot! https://musio.com/catalog/

Sound calibration/reference
Hi everyone, I recently decided to test the SoundID sound correction program (there is a free trial version available for 20 days), and I was very surprised by the result. In a nutshell, this program is used to correct the sound signal so as to reduce the inaccuracies of sound equipment (headphones, speakers). In my case, the headphones I use from the factory have definitely boosted high frequencies (6 to 10khz), after correction I feel that the sound is much more balanced and it is easier for me to see details in the mix. Do any of you perhaps use this type of software? I am curious about your opinion because I have only been using it for a few days and maybe you guys have more experience with it:) Anyways, have a blessed day🤟
