This Cliff Notes summary is from a post made inside the Skool Games Community, by Sam Ovens June 5th. It is a 8 video course including recordings from the Leaderboard winners meeting with Alex Hormozi & Sam Ovens to discuss the strategies that helped them win the April SKOOL GAMES. Sam has restricted access to this course but it can be unlocked by having 3+ community members or 3+ Skool referrals.
Here's the juice from the "Getting Members" video:
In summary, Goose (Skool Games winner) & Sam agree that people join groups that make them feel like they can't believe they're having so much fun & learning, all while hanging out with people making Millions $$ online.
Strategies to get there:
- THE FUNNEL- Youtube, TicTok or IG Stories ➡️ link in bio to free Skool. When they enter, an auto DM is sent & a pinned welcome post directs them to the "Classroom" to watch a VSL style course, inspired by Russel Brunson's "The Perfect Webinar". The CTA (Call To Action) is to respond to their welcome message so a call can be set up to best help them. From here, upsells to higher ticket communities are made.
- LEAD MAGNET- The free community access acts as the lead magnet.
- The Skool community provides traffic as you raise in the "DISCOVERY" ranking. Do this like Goose by a) getting everyone you know to engage in the free community by liking, commenting, & posting as much as possible. Adding new members increases ranking. Ranking is calculated by activity overtime & recency of activity. b) sharing your successes, failures, & how you are feeling to create a community of members who helps each other by responding to each other's posts.
Example: "I spent $25 on ads so you don't have to" makes people feel grateful you just saved them the headache.
Example: The "GIF" community is a great example of fun but educational posts.
4. Make use of all SKOOL FEATURES in every post like Polls & Pin to module because you're leaving money on the table.
5. Alex Hormozi Quotes (abbreviated): "Word of mouth has the biggest affect on growth" "I'd rather have tons of returning people spreading the word than High Payers that come & go".
Example: [53 of 100 leads x $77 = $4,081] vs [20 of 100 leads x $137 = $2,740]. The lower ticket members are more willing to recur their memberships each month.
6. RETENTION: Be the leader of the fun & engagement FIRST, your group will follow.
7. ADVANCED TACTIC: In your high paying group, do a Leaderboard competition for your top performers. Challenge them to win a contest to partner with you in their business. Front them the capital, brand name, or sweat equity to drive revenue for both of you.
P.S. I have a Digital Marketing Dictionary updating daily in my Classroom tab to help everyone decode all this online money jargon😎
