Nobody is exempt. One of the most common frustrations we hear from students before we work with them is how their music ends up sounding in the car...especially upon first listen. The reason this happens is because you’re not hearing things accurately while working on your music in the first place. If you don’t fix the problem of your room and listening environment, it could take you an infinite amount of car checks to get things right…and then MAYBE you get things right eventually or just give up and settle for less than industry standard. If you’re hearing things accurately while you’re actually working on your music you’ll spend FAR less time diagnosing and solving problems in the mix…and you’ll enjoy those car checks a lot more :). If you’ve ever taken your mix out to the car and it sounded completely different than it did in the studio then drop a comment!
