Lets talk about life for a moment.
Do you see me in the first picture? That was me with my cousin from Germany. I wasn’t sick, but life had knocked me down so hard that I truly thought it was the end.
Last week, we recreated that photo—nine years later. When he first came to Ghana in 2015, he told me he wanted to help, and he did. He got me enrolled in driving school and even paid for my license. After that, though, we lost contact, and I didn’t hear from him for years.
Last week, we reconnected. As I shared what I’ve been through since then, he shed tears and said, 'I’m sorry, brother.' I told him that, in a way, I’m grateful for all those struggles because they’ve given me a story. Since then, I’ve traveled to three countries, written a book, started an NGO, and won a global award in the UK—all because I didn’t give up.
Even though I’m still working hard to build my life, often with no steady income, I’m incredibly thankful.
Recreating that picture felt like a full-circle moment. Life is beautiful, and it’s even more beautiful when it comes with a story. So, in those dark times, please don’t lose hope. Sometimes, being in the dark can be exactly where you need to be, just for a season.
Please support my NGO and help spread this message. Share it, invite me to speak, purchase our merchandise, Together, let’s empower each other and bring this message to the world.
P.S- I'm open for coffee chats. And getting to know everyone.
