Things you can do with Perplexity 🤯
1. Track stocks: Enter any stock ticker (or “[Company] stock”) and it will generate an interactive chart. 2. Switch up your search: In addition to web searches, you can search medical journal, papers, reports or articles. 3. Build timelines: track how something’s changed over time, like ChatGPT Pricing 4. Price comparison: Just ask “Where can I find the best price for [items you want]” to compare prices (another example) 5. Track current events: get snapshot recaps of what’s happening in the election, or what happened with the weather in Florida. 6. Research properties: Find out who owns a building or company, when it was last sold, or how many houses sold in a your market last month. 7. Update your SEO: Use Perplexity’s API in your own apps, or in Google Sheets, to create topical maps of keywords to include in your content. 8. Create “GPTs” but for Perplexity: Use Collections to group related via custom instructions, kinda like customGPTs / Claude Projects 9. Reasoning: Pro users can use o1 with Perplexity to reason thought problems—its ChatGPT o1, but with the internet search 10. Recreate Google Alerts: Someone build a bot to find and send the latest news about their competitors. Fair warning, this takes some coding skills! (just heard about this one, have not done it) Make it your default browser......video instructions from a Ai guy I follow

I haven't used Perplexity yet, but like the idea that it cites all of it's "research"

Love the photo, Jeff! I did skydiving and had so much fun that I insisted I'd be back. Unfortunately, that was about 30 years ag.😞 Someday, though....

Wow....very detailed. I can see where this would require focus and take you away from other things on your mind. Love it!
Embrace the Mess ...sometimes!
I used to beat myself up about my messy desk. Not anymore. Last week, I had a breakthrough on a project I'd been stuck on for months. The twist? It happened in my chaotic living room, not my tidy office. Toys scattered on the floor. Books piled high on every surface. In that moment, I realized something profound. The mess wasn't a distraction. It was a catalyst for creativity. Research backs this up. A study from the University of Minnesota found that people in messy rooms came up with more creative ideas. Why? Disorder challenges our conventional thinking. It forces our brains to make new connections. To see possibilities where we didn't before. Now, I'm not saying to never clean again. But maybe, just maybe, a little chaos is exactly what we need sometimes. To break out of our routines. To think differently. To innovate. So the next time you're feeling stuck, try embracing a bit of mess. You might be surprised at the ideas that emerge. What unconventional methods help you think creatively? Share below!

@Suzanne Taylor-King That's a good one. I never thought of that. My "friend" says all energy expended at work and none left for home. Extremely interesting to me as someone who must always have things in order.
Efficient Network Building
In today’s dynamic professional landscape, building a strong network is about quality over quantity. Here are key strategies to enhance your network building: 1. Leverage Social Media: Use platforms like LinkedIn to join relevant groups, participate in discussions, and share insightful content. 2. Attend Industry Events: Engage in conferences, webinars, and workshops. Prepare talking points to make your interactions more impactful. 3. Follow Up: Send personalized follow-up messages after meeting new contacts. Mention specifics from your conversation to show genuine interest. 4. Mentorship: Seek mentors and offer to mentor others. This fosters a supportive and knowledgeable network. 5. Collaborate on Projects: Work together on initiatives to strengthen professional relationships and showcase your skills. 6. Volunteer: Involvement in community service or professional organizations can expand your network and demonstrate your commitment. 7. Be a Connector: Introduce people within your network who might benefit from knowing each other, positioning yourself as a valuable resource. Efficient network building is about creating lasting, mutually beneficial relationships.

All great points, Dan. I love that you included "volunteer" in the list. It is such a great way to meet people in a non-business, no-stress way and build solid relationships. I also would add "Giving Back" as a subset of "volunteer." Every time I do presentations for free, I always meet new people and develop relationships.
