Sketch up for Construction Docs?
Hello, I am an architect who retired after a 30-year career with the NYS housing agencies but want to keep dabbling in a few projects a year. Currently I have a professional office to home conversion project that I drafted with Morpholio Trace. MT is a great program, but I was stretching its limits using it this way. I’d like to invest in and learn Sketchup and am wondering if it would work well as a drafting program. It would be great to stay in one program for 2D drafting and 3D modeling. I’d like to stay with an iPad platform, so I am also wondering how Sketchup for iPad compares to the desktop version. I never fully learned Autcad and feel it is too robust and complicated to justify investing in it.
PS: I do not have a photo of my work space, if I did post one, it would be a picture of an iPad as I work wherever convenient and comfortable.
