Naming Layers in Morpholio Trace: It’s Finally Here!
I just found out you can expand the layer palette with this little arrow, so it’s super easy to rename and organize your layers now—something I’ve been wanting forever. I also heard there’s a big update coming later this year that’ll let you group layers into folders (like in Procreate), among other things, like a big revamp to adding text. Ask @Joey Swerdlin (director at Morpholio) if you are curious.

It’s like Christmas came early this year. I’ve wanted the ability to see layer names for everrr. No more hunting and pecking to find things.
Morpholio snuck in a new exciting feature!
Now you can edit images with the erase and lasso tools! This makes transforming textures, materials, and artwork incredibly easy. All you have to do is download the latest version of Trace (be sure to open the app page after you search so you get the “Update” button) and then turn on “Edit Images” in the Settings. #How to transform texture and materials?

The Layers!
Morpholio Trace - Is there a way to see layer names, other than clicking on them?

This is an upgrade that I asked for a year or so ago via the MT request form. It would be so much better if you could identify the layers in the side bar and therefore know which one to select.
Sketch up for Construction Docs?
Hello, I am an architect who retired after a 30-year career with the NYS housing agencies but want to keep dabbling in a few projects a year. Currently I have a professional office to home conversion project that I drafted with Morpholio Trace. MT is a great program, but I was stretching its limits using it this way. I’d like to invest in and learn Sketchup and am wondering if it would work well as a drafting program. It would be great to stay in one program for 2D drafting and 3D modeling. I’d like to stay with an iPad platform, so I am also wondering how Sketchup for iPad compares to the desktop version. I never fully learned Autcad and feel it is too robust and complicated to justify investing in it. PS: I do not have a photo of my work space, if I did post one, it would be a picture of an iPad as I work wherever convenient and comfortable.

@Henry Gao I totally agree with you, MT is very reasonably priced. How is $20/yr otherwise?

@Tufan Chakir good to know, thx for the comment.
Here's what I am working on this week
I am doing some re-imaginary work for my church with a new lease. I gave myself a 2-hour window to space plan from PDF to a presentable scheme to share with my community. Nothing fancy going on (yet!), just a quick exercise to get the conversation going. Welcoming all feedback, good and bad. 🙏 Poll: Could you have done this faster than 2 hours with Morpholio Trace?

I voted yes only because I’m assuming I would know what I wanted to do as far as putting pen to paper is concerned. The time suck is figuring out what you want to draw.
