I have the privilege of working with many high level hockey players.
My job to take their mental game and performance to another level.
I take player from minor hockey and help them get to the highest level possible in junior.
I take players in junior and help them get to the highest level college possible.
I am not an advisor.
I am a performance consultant.
Why does that matter to you?
Well becasue you want to get to the next level in your game.
I want to help you do that while making the game fun and your life exciting for you.
That has been thedriving mission behind creating this group for you guys.
One of the recent players I have worked with Josh Schenk has been someone who had the same desires as you.
When he came to me was last season, he was a very high quality player and had a solid rookie year in the BCHL. He had 3 goals and 9 points in 47 games. Definitely not too bad.
He, like many players was struggling to find that next level in his game.
He knew it was something about the mental game so he DM'd me and wanted to talk.
That was the first thing that told me he was going to be successful... no bullshit, he knew what he wanted and made the call he needed to make.
We got on the phone shortly after.
We broke down what he was struggling with.
“Before this season I wasn’t confident with the puck, didn’t shoot the puck and was very hard on myself. If I had one mistake that would often be it for my mental game the rest of the night. I would be so hard on myself and it ruined games for me”
This was very clear and so we talked about his game.
He was losing the game inside of his head before he stepped on for each shift.
I struggled with this many times in my career and knew many people who also have.
I made it clear to him, it did not need to be this way.
We came up with a plan.
We scripted out what he needed to do to get his mental game in order.
We began by reprogramming his mindset using the Identity Programming Framework.
Just like the one you guys are using now.
After a few days, he could see all the limiting beliefs and poor mental habits he had developed.
They were clear as day.
Just like I hope they have become clear as day for you diring this sprint.
We broke Josh's beliefs and helped him develop new ones through repetition.
We also got on coaching calls throughout the season to to help him speed up the process.
We then helped him completely transform his confidence using the Identity rewire protocol.
This is a 14 day deep dive into rewiring each individual emotional and thought pattern.
We took it to a new level with the IQ Mastery framework where we rewired all his decision making patterns in 14 days.
Now, most players would stop there.
Not Josh.
He is one of the most commited athletes I have seen.
During a tough Junior A schedule it is easy to forget, or lose track of what you know to do or what you have learned.
The season is also a massive opportunity to level up your game.
Most players like to sit back and ride on what you developed in the offseason.
Instead, Josh and I worked together weekly throughout the whole season to make small tweaks to his game.
We made adjustments to his skills training and decision making each week.
He was able to build his ability throughout the season level by level and finish with 26 points in 48 games. Over 2.5x his previous seasons production!
He even went from 3 goals to 16 goals in one fewer game. Pretty crazy right?
In the playoffs he was also able to put up a hattrick against one of the top 5 teams in the country.
He also put up 5 points in 4 games against that same team
Of Course, these are not things I can't take credit for as a coach because I am not the one making it happen on the ice.
But what I will say is that other players can learn from what he was able to do. They can guess that the work we did did have some type of effect.
After last season here is what Josh said:
“Corson’s training has helped my mental game and my confidence levels to the point where I am now able to make plays with the puck consistently, shoot the puck without hesitation and not get down on myself during games.”
That confidence is something that I want you guys all to have!
It starts with the Identity Programming Protocol workbook you now have access to.
This sheet is where you truly begin your journey.
This is your chance to take your game to an new level like Josh did.
