A lot of times, as we work towards building our business, we can feel stuck and lost. (To be honest I had a bout with that feeling this morning. lol)
What I find really helpful is taking a second to sit and really analyze what is making me feel stuck. What is the actual object that is keeping me from moving forward. Can I label it? Can I picture it? Can I easily describe it to someone else.
9/10 times, if you take a second to really give your obstacle some thought, You can see that it's really not that big of an obstacle. More often than not, its your anxiety around the obstacle that is actually causing the problem.
Imagine you're walking around with your eyes closed. All you're doing to move forward is shuffling your feet to feel for anything that is in your way. Your feet kicks against something so you freeze. You have no idea what that thing is. It could be a guard rail keeping you from falling off a cliff. It could be a big scary hydraulic press that would crush you if you get too close.
So, because you can't actually see it, you build up anxiety around what it could be. You rationalize all of the really scary things that could be in your path and your fear builds up to a crippling point.
If you simply take a second to open your eyes and recognize what you've bumped up against, you see that it's literally just a stick. Nothing to fear, nothing to panic over, you simply step over it and keep moving.
This happens for me so often. I build up my anxieties, my imposter syndromes, all of my doubts, and I start to get that analysis paralysis. As soon as I take 5 minutes to sit, and analyze what these fears are, I see that there is nothing more than a small fleeting thought standing in my way.
So....What is your obstacle?
