Your Creation IS Your Canvas
You have something so powerful in your hands. It's an allegorical paintbrush. The method with which you create, whether you're a composer that uses Logic Pro, or a developer that uses Unity.. This is your blank page. And your studio is the opportunity to take that fully finished picture and share it with the world. While there are "right" ways to do things like SEO, Ads, and more... You've got a beautiful opportunity right now to create. Not just something that people get hooked on forever... But something that is like a child of you. An imprint of your consciousness - shared with the world. While we continue to follow the frameworks that WORK... Those do not bring true value to the marketplace unless they are infused with the UNIQUENESS of you, and what you inject into your work. Don't think you're unique? That's a lie. You have so much to offer the world - the reality is, you just haven't been prodded in the right direction. Not the OBJECTIVELY RIGHT direction... but rather, the direction for YOU. This is why @Zach Goodfellow and I are here. To help lovingly prod you in that direction, so that you get the most out of your work.. Emotionally, financially, physically, and spiritually. Your work is multi-dimensional, and it is tremendously valuable. Don't forget it. And while you're at it... make sure to join the STUDIO SUPERSTARS CHALLENGE to start bringing this uniqueness out of you TODAY. The world cannot wait for you to shine... And quite frankly, neither can we. See you inside.

What part of the world is everyone coming from?
Currently in Canada most my clients do not live near me and dealing with scheduling around people time zones is always a fun challenge.

Welcome to the Reality Hacker Family! (🔥START HERE)
What’s up friends! On behalf of Mike and myself I want to thank you so much for joining us, and welcome you to the Reality Hacker family. This group is for the game dev that’s tired of: - Feeling alone in their journey - Feeling like making money from their craft is a pipe dream - Feeling overwhelmed with the idea of actually running a business. If you feel called to respect your art form and treat it like the career pursuit you dream of it being, you’ve found the right group! Mike and I built Reality Hacker Game Studios to be a resource for solo devs and indie teams, and give them access to business and entrepreneurship education that isn’t confusing or overwhelming. As we grow, this community is going to get flooded with content based around business, growing an audience, marketing, and sales all specifically tailored to the challenges you face as a game dev. Not only will we show you the theoretical knowledge we’ve picked up over years of building businesses and coaching entrepreneurs, but we are going to take the journey along with you as we build and launch our own games. As you accomplish goals with us, we encourage you to share your stories, lessons, and achievements so we can all learn together. The platform actually encourages it! By getting likes and comments from your fellow members, you’ll earn XP and level up, which will earn you access to more courses and resources. These courses can be found in the classroom section and will constantly be updated with new material! We’re so excited to have you and can’t wait to hear how you take your passions and turn them into a viable career for yourselves and your families. Get your points started by introducing yourself in the comments below!! Tell us what you do and what your goals are so we can help you get there! Let’s do this!!!!

What do you feel is the biggest obstacle in your way right now?
A lot of times, as we work towards building our business, we can feel stuck and lost. (To be honest I had a bout with that feeling this morning. lol) What I find really helpful is taking a second to sit and really analyze what is making me feel stuck. What is the actual object that is keeping me from moving forward. Can I label it? Can I picture it? Can I easily describe it to someone else. 9/10 times, if you take a second to really give your obstacle some thought, You can see that it's really not that big of an obstacle. More often than not, its your anxiety around the obstacle that is actually causing the problem. Imagine you're walking around with your eyes closed. All you're doing to move forward is shuffling your feet to feel for anything that is in your way. Your feet kicks against something so you freeze. You have no idea what that thing is. It could be a guard rail keeping you from falling off a cliff. It could be a big scary hydraulic press that would crush you if you get too close. So, because you can't actually see it, you build up anxiety around what it could be. You rationalize all of the really scary things that could be in your path and your fear builds up to a crippling point. If you simply take a second to open your eyes and recognize what you've bumped up against, you see that it's literally just a stick. Nothing to fear, nothing to panic over, you simply step over it and keep moving. This happens for me so often. I build up my anxieties, my imposter syndromes, all of my doubts, and I start to get that analysis paralysis. As soon as I take 5 minutes to sit, and analyze what these fears are, I see that there is nothing more than a small fleeting thought standing in my way. So....What is your obstacle?

We're Back Baby!
What is up my beautiful people? Hope everyone is doing well. So here's the thing...business is all about trying things and seeing what works and what doesn't. Last month we decided to switch this platform from Skool to Kajabi and, well...that was one of those ideas that didn't work. That move made it far too complicated for our community to use and access their resources and engage with each other. We apologize for the hiatus, but we are excited to be back in Skool with you all and we are bringing with us a WHOLE BUNCH OF CONTENT that we built out for you guys. You're about to see me blow up the Freelance Success chat with modules from our new Studio Superstar Challenge. This is essentially a 4-week intensive meant to help you take your talents, whether it's programming, design, art, or music, and build a stable freelance income from them. This is a great way for a dev to fund their games, and for an artist to work in an industry they love. We're excited to pour into you guys and help this community grow. Please reach out to either Mike or myself if you have any questions!
