I always enjoy exhibiting on my home turf so I was chuffed to deliver a couple of my pieces to Altrincham Town Hall yesterday for Oyez Arts’ first show there since they took over the building. Had a bit of tour while there - it’ll be a fantastic new arts venue for the Manchester area. My contributions to the show are ‘Under Burdock Way’ and ‘Self Portrait in Absentia’. ‘A Sense of Place’ opens next Friday evening and runs until 12 January.

Friday evening 6-9pm is the opening of ‘Built’ - a group show curated by gallery owner Jo Tinker. I’m showing a few paintings alongside quite a few other artists. All welcome!!!

Tonight is the opening of the Leeds Arts & Minds Network’s annual ‘Spotlight’ exhibition at the Northlight Arts Centre in Chapel Allerton. The show - which includes work by a number of past Sketch Club participants - runs until 28 October. My own contribution is ‘Slug’ - from a bestiary I’m currently working on…
