Is poplar wood good for furniture?

Hi, everyone! We got another 📣Question From the Community📣

For those who already worked with it, is poplar wood good for furniture? It caught my eye for a few reasons. It's cheaper, which is a big plus for my wallet, and I've heard it's pretty easy to work with, even for us DIYers who aren't quite master craftsmen yet. But then there's a nagging voice in the back of my head that's doubting because of durability and long-term wear and tear.

What was your experience like with poplar wood? I'm not sure whether it's okay to use or if I should just play it safe and stick to more traditional options.
