Very helpful video for both the beginner and the veteran. Great lessons for the beginner and really nice refresher for the veteran.
This One Surprised Me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIFyxj-rr6o I know there are a lot of people out there who hate Harbor Freight; but sometimes they can surprise you. I recently tried out one of their tools, which reshaped my thinking a bit. Let me explain. It might surprise you, as much as it has surprised me.

Another source to save some money by selectively choosing what you buy is TEMU. I've bought some items and have been satisfied. How can you go wrong with a silicon glue tray and brush for $3? I have a Kreg KMA 3000 Panel Carrier ($24.99) that makes is easier for this old guy (78) to carry a full sheet of 3/4 plywood. Saw the same item, just not painted for $13.59 on TEMU. Haven't bought any yet, but their clamps look okay, will buy a couple and see how they compare to the more expensive brand name. Not necessarily a fan of buying directly from China, but being on a fixed income in this economy with the soaring inflation sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

@Jered Agnes I've got the Kreg carrier, so wasn't looking to buy another one. But will be checking out the clamps sometime in the future. I have TEMU's silicon glue tray and brush and they work just fine. I also bought a small device (has a 45* angle across it) for finding the center of small dowels and that works quite well. I'm awaiting a arrival of some hardware (bolts and star knobs) for use with t-track.
What do You Do with Your Scrap?
Scrap is always an issue for woodworkers. Even though how we define scrap might vary considerably. Some of us will call any offcuts scrap, while others will only call it scrap if we can't use it for anything else. In this video, I share how to make use of some of the smallest offcuts, turning it into beautiful projects that make great gifts.

There's no such thing as "scrap" wood; it's just wood that I haven't used yet.
Stop clogged glue nozzles with a simple swap
Have you ever had a problem with the nozzle on your glue bottle getting clogged after several uses? You push the sleeve down and wipe the tip yet the next time you need some glue the nozzle is clogged up and you spend more time than necessary making it work. Doesn't matter the brand, they all use the same style nozzle. Sound familiar, well there's a simple fix. Just swap out the cap that come on the glue bottle. Those squeeze bottles of mustard have a flip top cap that fits the top of a glue bottle and doesn't get clogged. The only caution to making this work, is to make sure you hear the "click" when closing the cap so you know you've got it closed tightly

I made this in high school.
I made this in high school wood shop about thirty years ago. Risner is my mother’s last name. My mother gave it to my nephew, who’s last name is also Risner, who hangs it at his home.
