Holiday eating
Any advice on eating while on a holiday. I’m going on a cruise for 10 days so all meals are going to be variable. I’m a bit scared that I’ll switch straight back to my old unhealthy, binge type eating habits. I’ve been cutting for a bout a year with a few controlled/tracked maintenance weeks. I’ve set my calories to maintenance levels for the time, but that’s only 1800. My aim is the get my steps in and to eat enough protein.

I am planning a road trip at the end of October and the main goal is to have fun and enjoy my time there . You don’t have to over stress thinking about food , just make mindful choices, try not to over do alcohol, and to accomplish some steps during the day. Have a great time 😊
Air Fryers - Yay or Nay?
At my house I have solar panels and I mostly use electricial appliances. My main appliances are slow/pressure cooker, oven, gas top stove and good ol trusty microwave. I do have a charcoal kettle bbq and I'm soon to eventually going to use my outdoor grill bbq as well come spring and summer time. Many have adapted to using an air fryer now and I'm curious to hear if you do have an air fryer is it worth it compared to other appliances when it comes to meal prep for efficiency and quality? Keen to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Caffeine - How do you get your fix?
This topic came up on a group chat and I thought it would be a good topic to discuss here too. Rarely do I encounter anyone who is completely off any form or some sort of caffeine. Whether that be a sugar free Monster Energy, Red Bull, instant coffee or your morning coffee run. Or maybe you just get your hit from a preworkout? How do you enjoy/take your caffeine?

I prefer black coffe , usually iced . I used to drink zero sugar White Monster 🫶, but I think it makes me bloated . I have tried to take caffeine as a supplement pre workout and my stomach couldn’t handle it 🥴. So I stick to espresso iced and my non stim pre .
At an individual level, how do y’all’s deload?
What indicators do you use as a sign that says it’s time to back off? Or is a deload week already programmed in to your training blocks? And when you guys do deload, do you take exercises out or change up weights and sets or a mix?

i think in bodybuilding as @Macka Chen said you can have a deload when you can detect signs of fatigue intuitively. you dont have to change your programme but you can draw back in rpe or rir or generaly push back the volume for a week. then you can see if your energy levels are back
Anxiety, performance and visualization
Anxiety many times prior to an event has made many of us play bellow our ability. Uncertainty can cause athletes to mentally envision mistakes and fear the worst prior to a competition, which leads to lack of trust in your skills. Fearing the worst, becomes negative images that will ruin performance every time. The solution could be visualization. Experience the event before it happens. This could help being ready mentaly. By visualizing yourself there succeeding, you become mentaly ready because know the event is already known. As i am competing in two weeks, I want to make a habbit of visualizing my self getting there, weighing in, having my warm up, to the point of hitting the numbers i want to achieve. Imagine my self being in a good mood and following my routine. The visualization will provide a plan. So everything will be ready when the time comes. My mind will not freak out by the unknown. Let me hear your thoughts and your experiences. Do you have some kind of routine to mentaly prepare you? ☺️

"we need to teach our brain what it is we want to see and allow in" : that is my general goal! To reach a point where i no longer limit my potential by fearing the outcome! Thanks for the response! :)
