Lesson of the day
Today marked my official day of doing my letting go exercise. While I was doing the breathing technique to release all of my thoughts, fears, and anxiety. As I was completely relaxed, I felt a lot of blockages within my body. Is that normal? Do anyone else feel blockages through their body?

Feeling the blockages is a powerful step in expanding one's awareness! Then, you get to do the work and gain the power through dissolving. Congrats! ☮️☯️

I agree with Melissa, the wording of this quote feels disempowering to me. I do think that engaging in life involves being open to feelings, and numbing or denying feelings is essentially withdrawing from life. 🙏

Is there one more than one style of meditation?

Generally speaking, there's lots of kinds of meditation! Besides daily state meditation with Sifu, I practice basic mindfulness meditation multiple times a week and occasionally do a yoga nidra guided mediation.

@Gregor Engler I haven't, but with a quick Google search it seems pretty cool. I want to give it a proper look-see.
Can everyone leave a interpretation on this?
Emotions: Realising that my emotions are both positive and negative, I will follow a daily habit which will encourage the development of the positive emotions and aid me in converting the negative emotions into some form of useful action. Bruce Lee

One way negative emotions can be useful is when one interprets them as signals. For some examples, anger can be a sign that you disagree with something, and fear can be a sign that you are encountering a situation that you might be hurt somehow. Impulsively reacting to negative emotions can be counterproductive, and acknowledging them and interpreting them as signals can be productive and lead to insight. Of course, the haste of life might make the latter more challenging in the moment. I think a strong strategy is not to avoid these emotions. They can provide insight, and they can be helpful to simply feel naturally, as a response of the body. I've done a good amount of public speaking, and I'm always somewhat nervous. That nervousness helps keep me on my toes. One of my favorite actors, Jeff Bridges, once said, "That anxiety is your buddy, man."
