Ego
Do you think “ego” can stop you from learning? Very curious about people‘s opinions on this topic.

I can never Identify my Ego. I don't think it is existing.
Happy Sunday.
My personal message to people is that, I hope they will go towards self-actualization rather than self-image actualization. I hope they will search within themselves for honest self-expression. Bruce Lee

Meditation is necessary so we can live our lives at the fullest.
Can everyone leave a interpretation on this?
Emotions: Realising that my emotions are both positive and negative, I will follow a daily habit which will encourage the development of the positive emotions and aid me in converting the negative emotions into some form of useful action. Bruce Lee

I made a promise that every day I will make at least one post. And my job takes me to new hight and obligations.

@Chris Wilson In Tao emotions are stealing our lives. In Tao we are the alchemists so the wisdom lies somewhere else.
Belts Verses Skill Level
Dear Community Members, Just would like to express the fact that belt/sash colour does not reflect true skill level unless you keep up with your training! I can assure you all that skills (of any type) diminish over time, if you don’t keep up with your training to keep those skills for survival purposes! As a purple belt, I have been through plateaus and even dips in skills and I must be honest that it takes hard work and dedication to keep your skills. In class, I have found class members (especially the ones from a younger generation), to be intimidated by not me but by my belt colour. Ladies and gentleman, if you are a white belt who practices your skills daily (or often) and are motivated to reach new heights, you will surely be better than the purple belt who doesn’t train when they are not in a classroom setting. Another thing I would like to iterate is the fact that there are merits in training with practitioners who are better skilled than you , as well as those who are not as skilled as you. Training with lower skilled practitioners help you test your state/martial skill and training with higher skilled practitioners help you develop your state/martial skill. Every time that I get to train with @Sifu John Cogan , I jump at the opportunity because I can train and develop my state and martial skill. I have the same feeling when it comes to training with white and blue belts as doing so can allow me to experiment using my state against them. Please remember the following: TRAINING WITH BETTER SKILLED OR LOWER SKILLED PRACTITIONERS HELP YOUR OWN SKILLS AS WELL AS ‘THEIRS’. BOTH TYPES OF LEVELS PLAY HUGE ROLES IN YOUR SKILL DEVELOPMENT. Training everyday is a must and I know some members here may feel that they have no time or whatever excuse they may have. Training in martial arts is like having learnt a new foreign language, it takes time to develop to proficiency. Even at a level of proficiency, you need to keep refining your skills by using it daily.
