November Training Log
1 Nov 24 1/ Did o train today? Morning State meditation SNT Watched an hour video seminar regarding Nim Lik development Good discussion with one of my sons regarding internal power development referencing the Mind Power and Letting Go courses 2/ When will I train again? Tomorrow 3/ Questions / Experiences / Observations -It’s funny how weather can affect us….chilly and gloomy today, hard to get a good energy rise, but a good day indeed. -The video seminar discussed “a near forgotten” topic regarding internal energy development. What Sifu teaches parallels it extremely well. Learning new things about how our bodies are made up. -I sent my son a like to the community…will see if he takes my offering… I think I will focus on my internals this month but still keep my form work stable as well. Most likely be trying to slow SNT to a crawl and start Chum Kiu slowly as well, I believe I have a good understanding of the turns now. Thank you for reading… Blessings

A day late beginning my journal, fortunately I began the challenge on the alloted day. I've slipped a few times with my practice, and had some time off in recent weeks due to life circumstance, so this comes at a perfect time to really kick start my practice and realign with the state. 11/11/24 Did I train today? 11/11/24 - 7am State training (which includes Siu Nim Tao training.) Upper Body Gym Session. 8pm State Training (7am Sydney time (includes Siu Nim Tao training.)) 8:30pm Form Training (Single Leg Siu Nim Tao, Chum Kiu pivoting, Biu Gee elbows.) 1am (Midday Sydney Time) HQ State Energy Work. 2am HQ all levels training. When will I train next? Tomorrow. What Observations/Questions/Insights do I have from todays training? I know I have had some time away, yet the connection to the components of the state is still there, fortunate enough to have the full 4 days off work this week to propel me in to this season of my kung fu training and I'm truly excited to see where it leads for everyone taking part. Thanks for reading. Adam.

Bruce’s “Striking Thoughts”
~ FOR FREE SPIRITS ~ “Self-actualization is the important thing. And my personal message to people is that I hope they will go toward self-actualization rather than self-image actualization. I hope that they will search within themselves for honest self-expression. The end of man is action and not thought, though it be of the noblest. Independent inquiry is needed in your search for truth, not dependence on anyone else's view or a mere book. To live is a constant process of relating, so come on out of that shell of isolation and conclusion, and relate DIRECTLY to what is being said. Bear in mind I seek neither your approval nor to influence you. So do not make up your mind as to "this is this" or "that is that." I will be more than satisfied if you begin to learn to investigate everything yourself from now on.”

“Striking Thoughts”
Some might say Bruce Lee was the father of mixed martial arts, and that he was one of the most fluid, loose, and fast martial artist in known history. Others say that Lee was a person who simply did, “real kung fu.” Bruce inspired me to start doing martial arts when I was 9 years old, and I believe that he is an absolute legend! Bruce was an extremely respectable martial artist with admirable discipline and dedication. Yet, Bruce Lee was still a mortal man. Just like us he was flawed, fallible, and tried his best to get along in this world the best he could. Before passing away at 32 years old, he wrote four amazing books that brought inspiration to millions around the world. One of his lesser known works is “Striking Thoughts. Wisdom for Daily Living.” In an effort to create thought provoking observational points of view through our One Tao Community, I am going to start posting excerpts from “Striking Thoughts,” in an attempt “strike” up dialogue about Bruce’s“thoughts.” Be they profound, or superficial…pertinent, or irrelevant…fair, or biased…Bruce was a man of vision who started a movement in loving awareness surrounding martial art discipline that continues to this day. Please join me in this journey to acknowledge, analyze, and explore Bruce Lee’s “Striking Thoughts” in a fun, open, and honest forum. HERE WE GO!!

@Ben David He used all of his training / experience to develop JKD. It is a mix of several styles...so by this he would fall in the category of MMA. There are movements from WC that are no allowed in current MMA, not sure what those would be but I dare guess that Bil Jee (Thrusting Fingers) would be one for sure.
