🟣 GENERAL DISCUSSION: I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
The Invitation . . It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it. I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human. It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy. I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, ‘Yes.’ It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children. It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back. It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

This poem began a 20 year journey that took me from NM to CA, NY, DE, MD, WV, and full circle back to NM! I wanted to be able to say yes to every question. I couldn't in 1999 when it showed up on a wall of our house. I couldn't a year later when I found the book she wrote around the poem. I couldn't for a long while after that even. Until 2018 to be exact when I finally learned to face the accusation of betrayal without betraying my own soul. When the invitation was fully accepted PresenceManifest began. My applied energetic philosphy was the answer to speeding up the journey for people from mostly yes to a full yes in accordance to this poem :) So glad you posted it!
🟡 The Power of Childhood Messages and Their Impact on Adulthood | The Problem Was Me with Tom Gagliano
Although not an "Easier Ways" episode, this is a great podcast episode by @Thomas Gagliano about breaking the cycle of negative thinking that leads to addiction, infidelity, & self-sabotage. This podcast will discuss the ways childhood messages impact every aspect of our lives, to the intimacy we have or don’t have, our parenting skills, the careers we choose, even the roles we are set up to play in adulthood. Verbal and non verbal messages create the people pleaser role, the caretaker role, the invisible role, the defiant role, the perfectionist role, as well as the addictive role. Are you happy in the role you were set up to play? If the answer is no, or if you’re not sure, let's analyze which messages have helped you and identify which messages need attention. In this podcast, Thomas will also discuss who he was, and what happened to change who he is today, as well as the ways he has helped others avoid self-sabotage.

Yes, genuinely asking " how are you feeling?" and being prepared to listen is a gift to many children and adults who lack attention and care. 💖
🟢 "When someone owed me money."
"This is what I did to get them to pay me back. I had a client who was known for not paying his invoices. What I did differently than other people who have threatened him to pay was simple. Instead of calling him rude names and insulting him to pay me back. When I wanted to collect the money I told him "Hey man, I just want you to know I'm not going to ask you to pay me back every day. I know that you are an honest person and you'll never do me wrong. I know you're good for it" The next day he visited me at my office and paid 2 years' worth of invoices altogether. The difference between what I had done to get paid vs the others was a psychological feature called labeling. Everybody who wanted their money was labeling him these terrible things and he was acting as such. Instead, I labeled him as an admirable human with a positive label and he acted as such to fit into that positive label. Most people, when you give them a positive label, will doing anything to maintain that label." . Alex Hormozi

I worked in collections for a while and did pretty well because I met people where they were at and never offered an option of sending nothing. Offered them a choice of 3 payment options only. So just like giving a positive label is awesome, I also chose to give them clear paths to succeeding in following through and posed it like that.

I am Joie Costa I live in Northern New Mexico I'm originally from the northeast and I love the southwest so much ! I help those who want to gain a deeper understanding of how to diminish triggers and subconscious blocks and take a more active role in creating and designing a life that fits them truly. I also help leaders who have sacrificed their personal or spiritual growth for business success and are ready to integrate and bring all of themselves to all the parts of their life. Those who want to be one clear present version themself no matter what role they are fulfilling. For fun I like to write, dance, hike, rap/sing, and travel. One big thing I'dlike to get out of this community is finding real people to potentially connect with outside of online and work on cool projects that impact those who truly need support with big changes, transitions, and commitments. Thanks to @Randy Hyden for the invite !
🟣 I have a favor to ask...
I would like to ask everyone in this community who knows me a little favor. (Many of you have known me for years.) Please tell the brand-new members below who are landing here... Anything that you want to "About Me." There are two reasons: (1) I'd love to know what you think of me. (2) Since some people don't know me yet, they might want to know a little bit about who the leader of this community is, so I'd like to invite you to tell them! 👆 That's the BEST social proof in the world. I know it seems like a weird or selfish request...but it will also help bond the community together faster...and that's what I'm here to do. So, if you're willing, your contributions could be invaluable in kickstarting this community. It's purely optional, but I'm sure everyone entering will appreciate and benefit from your comments, and together, we can help this community grow. THANKS IN ADVANCE

I've known Randy for several years now and am excited to see Easier Ways grow and thrive. He is a genuine, caring, and giving person who wants others to have greater awareness, support, and to succeed. He is always studying and sharing as far as I can tell. When he first told me about his dreams of having a community that would allow both free expression, networking, and a smorgasbord of helpful and useful information it sounded so idealistic and yet it is closer to being a reality now! Together we also, have watched other groups rise and fall and change directions and our values have stayed the same and the vision he has is still about freedom, Presence, Networking, support, and being able to find an easier way to a designed and aligned life because many of us have taken our own long or hard way. It's about saving time, suffering, and money in the long run ! And having fun and some sweet connections along the way.
