Next competition
I would love that my kid comes back from his next big swimming competition in Thailand proud of himself and of what have achieved. This will be his first competition outside his country, and I just want him to be proud of whatever he will achieve ☺️ and willing to do more international competitive events like that.

Pre Race Nerves and how to deal with them
Hi from South Africa. I have a 13 year old female swimmer that trains like a beast but racing gets in her head and she freezes up. Excited to learn from this platform how to navigate around this. THANK YOU!

I am in the same boat with a 12 years old swimmer!
Introduce yourself :)
Welcome, welcome to the community 👋 🏊 I promise you that I'll teach you exactly how the sports psychologist of Michael Phelps (Dr. Jim Bauman) helped me overcome my pre-race anxiety and turned me from an OK-ish swimmer into an Olympian and Swiss record holder in less than 1 year. But first... Pls, introduce yourself 😃 - Where are you from? - Who or what brought you here? - What's the biggest problem you're trying to solve? Let's goooooo! 🚀 P.S. Vote on what your child's dream is for swimming.

Hi! I am Mary, I am a swimming parent 😀. My 12 yrs old boy started swimming very young, always part of the swimming team in schools. Recently moved to a new country and new school where he decided to take his swimming to a competitive level. I am here to look for advice on how to best support him. He trains 4 times a week in the water and three times land training to increase his endurance and stamina. He will be attending an important competition with the school team at the end of February and I would like to help him to manage his stress and anxiety which seems to be already quite high. Thank you (we live in South East Asia, so not sure how we can schedule the zoom calls because of the time difference...🫤)

@David Karasek Thanks David. I will try to get a slot around our dinner time (the only time that it seems both our time zones seem to be awake 😀) , so Miche (my son) can be there too. Thank you very much. Keep you posted.
