What habits are you doing daily that are sending you in the wrong direction?
- For the most part, we move through our days on automatic pilot, doing the same things over and over and not even realising the habits we have created. - Start to become aware of actions you're taking that aren't serving you and you will soon see the deeply embedded daily habits. - Now you have awareness of when you're doing these things. Decide to do something different or opposite (for one day) and notice how it feels in your body. Was it a step towards the 'you' that you want to become? Repeat it the next day.

2024 Isn't Over Yet! How to Use the Power of Habit to Get The Most Out of What's Left of 2024
Ever find yourself stuck in a rut, repeating the same unproductive patterns, despite knowing better? Maybe it’s procrastinating on that important project, mindlessly scrolling through social media, or grabbing that sugary snack when you’re stressed. What about being "busy" all day long but not feeling like you've made any progress on what really matters? You’re not alone! We all have habitsβ€”good and badβ€”that shape our daily lives. But what if you could harness the power of these habits to create real, lasting change? WHY WE GET STUCK IN NEGATIVE HABITS Habits are formed when our brain looks for ways to save effort (it would literally be happy if all we did was sit on the couch watching Netflix all day!). Over time, our routines become automatic responses to cues in our environment. These habits are reinforced by the rewards we receive, whether it’s a burst of dopamine from that candy bar or the brief relief from checking your phone during a stressful moment. This loop of Cue-Routine-Reward is how habits are created, and unfortunately, it’s also why they can be so hard to break. Maybe you’re feeling frustrated because no matter how hard you try, you seem to fall back into old, unwanted behaviors. The good news? You have the power to change. HOW TO BREAK FREE AND BUILD HABITS THAT SERVE YOU To change a habit, you first need to understand the science behind it. Here's a simple framework to start with: 1. Identify the Cue: What triggers your habit? Is it a specific time of day, a certain feeling, or an environmental cue? E.G. A habit of snacking unhealthily and the cue is feeling bored in the afternoon at work. 2. Understand the Routine: What action do you take when the cue appears? This is the habit you want to change or reinforce. E.G. Going to the kitchen and grabbing a bag of chips. 3. Recognize the Reward: What are you getting out of this habit? Is it comfort, distraction, or something else? E.G. Immediate satisfaction from the flavor, plus a break from work.

Why I Created This Community
Hi all - I hope you have a productive week ahead! I wanted to explain why I decided to create this community. Humans, are tribal by nature and we tend to gravitate to communities and places that we resonate with. Sam Ovens says, "Create the community you wish you had" - so that's exactly what I've done. I wanted to create a space that we can be vulnerable, open about our challenges and figure out how we move forward as we keep an eye on our goals. When I started learning about business (coming from a freelancer background in film and global events), I had no idea what to expect or what I was doing. There were times over the years I would be excited to start something and very quickly I would stop - and start something completely new (and repeat that process). I didn't have a mentor and was guessing everything and not understanding anything! It wasn't until I got more serious about it, and started to get coaching and obsessively learnt anything I could get my hands on, did I realise that the feelings of resistance and how tough it was, was actually normal! No one told me that - until I found the right people to listen to. Over the past years I've done so much training. Even still, we can be susceptible to unsuspecting people who don't have our best interests in mind. This evens happens to well-established business people who have been open about it. I'm glad for their honesty and transparency about their experiences. I can also see what I've really liked from certain training and what makes proper sense, and I wanted to put it all together here with my interpretation and now from my experience. We can all have the resources, checklists, step-by-step processes, but if we don't have our mindset in the right place, we can find ourselves swimming around endlessly in a loop without even realizing it. We sometimes losing months if not years at a time until we "wake up" out of our thinking and realise there is another way. This has happened to me many times! LOL. It's easy to do! And with social media and their strong algorithms, they often know us better than ourselves and literally steals our time from us until we become very aware.

Start Before You're Ready
