Fitting Skool in?
Does anybody have a way of keeping this group or app top of mind? I'm new to Skool in general (thanks Hormozi!) but would love to browsing my groups instead of social media - I would love tips or tricks to use this app in the every day or to make it fun... right now I get an email every week or two and that's when I remember to check it...

MAX MONDAY
We are nearly done with the first 5 months of the year. Where are you with your 2024 goals? When was the last time you did an update or checked back to make sure you are still in line with those? Did you set out for 2024 goals?! What are they? For today's Max Monday, check back in with those and let us know if they need updated or if you're still on the right path to seeing those out as we hit the midway point to the year! For me - I marked a big fitness one off already which was fun! Next fitnessy one is getting into GRID shape before July! -- Outside of fitness, my biggest one is my Life Coaching Business and building that. This will be my first full year of being on my own and doing strictly Life Coaching. It has definitely not grown as quickly as I thought it would, but we are still moving in the right direction and when I checked my goals for this, it came down to getting my socials up to par and giving information to people that is helpful for them. So, I have been setting a posting schedule to get this done and hopefully attract some new people to my pages and blocking out certain days of the week to dedicate strictly to making the content itself! It's been the biggest road block so far because I'm not confident in my speaking skills yet to make videos where i'm talking haha so, that's the road block I'm currently breaking down! I want to know where your 2024 goals are so far this year and what the biggest block is that you're currently working to break down!! Happy Monday - have the best start to the week!

One of my biggest goals this year is to get our family budget under control... we're making big progress in budgeting, my 7 year old son is involved and loving checking the budget and my husband is finally on board, but big surprises KEEP showing up every month. I thought we were finally done and then our car inspection was a surprise $750 yesterday so it's another month of not saving. I'm working really hard on having an abundance mindset, and using it as an opportunity to feel grateful for all we do have. But it's discouraging to track and plan and have month after month get derailed by circumstances. Trying hard to keep the mindset strong and just remember that my reaction matters more than the circumstances...
WISDOM WEDNESDAY
Happy middle of the week day! Today I want to share a quote you may or may not have seen before, but a friendly reminder that you should make everyday a growth day. "In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." – Abraham Lincoln I was on a sad path of circles for many years of working M-F and then going out on the weekends with some workouts sprinkled throughout the days. This was the constant. Nothing changed. The only thing my head would tell me, was 'get through today, the weekend is coming' and by the definition of society, the 'weekends' are the life in our years. Over the last few years, I have changed my perception on what a majority of the world deems as 'life' and gave it my own definition. I was living too much by what other people saw as 'fun' and 'happy' and 'living' and the more we do that, the more we lose ourselves. So, today - I want you to think about what that definition is to you, what does the last half of that quote mean to you? Because at the end of the day, YOU and your thoughts are the #1 thing that can truly add real value to the meaning in life. WHAT DOES LIFE IN YOUR YEARS MEAN TO YOU?

Day 1 - Wisdom Wednesday
Our community kick off starts with some Wisdom! The best of this hits with quotes. Everyone resonates with certain quotes in some way or another and the good ones stick. Here it goes: "Without struggle, there is no progress" - Frederick Douglass I have this tattooed on the right side of my body. I got it when I was 16. It has a flower with a dead pedal, then another flower above it in full bloom. Just because one pedal is dead and brown, doesn't mean the whole flower has to go down with it. Pretty deep for a 16 year old to come up with this analogy. I honestly kinda forget that I have this tattoo and what's crazy is it hits so much harder now as an adult and it's something I've been trying to remember as I go through my life of building a business now. I want to set the record straight that I'm completely happy and content with my life and what I have created. However, on the flip side... I am struggle bussin' HARD trying to get my Coach Bryleigh business going and this quote has been a great reminder that struggle is what we all have to go through in order to get the best results in the end. Learning how to push through the struggle and celebrate the small wins daily is what makes us move forward. This is what keeps the flower in bloom. If you know me, you know I'm extremely good at fitness. I have been my whole life. Everything fitness comes extremely easy to me. Because of that it's almost like I was expecting my business to just become super successful over night and come easy just like my fitness does... man was I wrong. Building a business is fucking HARD, but that's what makes it so fun. I'm learning SO much and we gettin' there day-by-day! This platform and everyone that has joined the group so far has been a reminder of just how much progress I have made and I can't thank you all enough for being here! So, I hope you can resonate or put this into good use for something going on in your life right now or if you have another quote that's resonating with you that you feel like could benefit the group on this fine Wednesday - please share below!

Something Saturday!!
I hope everyone had an amazing week! - Today is Saturday, the last Saturday in April, wow... Per the usual Saturday posts - what are you doing today FOR YOURSELF to get one tiny (or large) step closer to your goals? Full transparency, I've had a little bit of a rough week mentally. I did a bodybuilding show last weekend and I lived this last week doing what I said I wouldn't. Binge eating. For some reason, I had lost all self control and went apeshit on the food consumption. It's wild. There is this thing body builders do after they are done with their show called 'reverse dieting'. You basically just slowly increase your calories back up week by week until you get to the weight you want to be at and then maintain from there. If you don't do this... you blow up and gain 10lbs in a week. Well... the body is nuts, I have gained 10lbs in a week because my self control near the end of each day this week went to zero. I've heard horror stories of the mental impact bodybuilders get to and I told myself I wouldn't get to that point and here I am. The strangest part to me is that I hit my macros and calories perfectly to follow the plan and then 5-6pm rolls around and BAM, SNACK TIME! And when I say snack time.. it's a full meal in calories and BAM 10 lbs is here... in 7 days. 🤯 So, I've been a little hard on myself mentally because I'm not sure where the loss of self control came from, I've never had that before. SO, for my Something Saturday, I have chosen to give myself grace. I sat with myself and talked through it. I worked so hard for 3-4 months for the show and I accomplished exactly what I wanted to that day. This week may have been off with food intake, but everything else was on point. I had productive work days, getting more accomplished than normal and I've had good days in the gym. So, today is all about being ok with my overeating and getting back on track and taking MY CONTROL back. What are YOU doing for yourself today?!

Thanks for sharing that Bryleigh - it's helpful to hear others going through similar things. I've been feeling very off mentally this past week (or few) also, and I'm definitely eating more than I need to. I've struggled to lose weight since having my 2nd kid, and I FINALLY lost about 10 pounds in 2024 after dealing with my bad gut bacteria... but now with stress lately I'm worried i'm falling back in to old habits. I've been wondering "where did that self control go?" I think it's reasonable that after a period of "good" we go through a period of "bad"... our bodies and minds crave homeostasis which is why its so hard to change our ingrained habits. Developing discipline isn't linear I've found... Yesterday I was feeling extremely overwhelmed and upset about all the 15 priorities in many different aspects of my life (work, kids, marriage, home all seem to have 5 things that MUST happen right NOW). I worked through my anxiety by making a full list to get it out of my head and create some doable steps for myself. Then I listened to a fun podcast while cooking for my mom's birthday, and enjoyed focusing on someone outside of myself. I also had to help my son work through an anxiety attack and saw clearly how my energy was transferring to him, which made me feel even more motivated to get it under control.. it was not helpful to anyone! Feeling much better this morning so far... i haven't posted in this group much yet, but I'd like to get more involved and use you guys as a resource!
