The first test- Acid Reflux: Vinegar Causing Irritation? Why?
During our 7 day hack we suggested a few test hacks to see how your body reacts. And one of the easiest things to look for is inflammation and high acidity in the body. For those who experienced irritation and felt vinegar sitting to high in the chest. If you weren’t diluting your vinegar can be one reason but...the other reason could be a sign of where you need to pay attention to first while on this healing journey! If you’re experiencing acid reflux after taking vinegar (even just a spoonful before meals as recommended by experts), it may be due to acidic irritation in the stomach. While vinegar can sometimes help improve insulin sensitivity and slow glucose absorption, it also increases stomach acidity, which can irritate the lining of the stomach or esophagus, especially if there’s already some underlying inflammation or a weakened lower esophageal sphincter (LES). This can lead to acid reflux or a burning sensation in the chest. Here's how you can alleviate this: 🌱 Herbal Snacks and Meals for Acid Reflux Relief 🌱 If you’ve been following the method with vinegar before meals but have experienced acid reflux or a burning sensation in your chest, you might be dealing with too much stomach acid or irritation. While vinegar can help regulate glucose, it can also increase acidity, which might irritate the stomach lining or worsen acid reflux symptoms. This imbalance in your gut can lead to symptoms like heartburn and discomfort after meals. To counter this, try incorporating these soothing, gut-friendly remedies into your routine: 1. Reduce the to one spoonful in 8oz of water, add lemon and/or orange slices to the water. drink throughout the day. 2. Slippery Elm is a herbal plant that can help improve mucus production and protect the digestive tract. It contains mucilage, a gel-like substance that coats and soothes the stomach and esophagus, providing a protective barrier against the acid that can erode tissues. Slippery Elm is often used to treat acid reflux and digestive discomfort by helping to restore the mucosal lining and promote healing. (DM me for a link to get a Slippery Elm Tincture) 3. Chamomile Tea 🍵: Drink chamomile tea to calm inflammation and reduce stomach acid irritation. 4. Ginger Chews 🍬: Ginger helps support digestion and can reduce the acid production that leads to reflux. 5. Oatmeal with Bananas 🍌: A mild, fibrous breakfast that absorbs excess acid and is gentle on the stomach. 6. Melon Salad 🍉: Melons like honeydew neutralize acid and ease digestive discomfort. 7. Aloe Vera Juice 🍃: Helps soothe the esophagus and stomach lining to alleviate acid reflux symptoms.

Day two of trying with lime and water and it was better, with time it will. It is like you live in my brain lol having trouble with this for years and thw ginger chews help but then I get heart burn which then leads me to drink tea to smooth it out. I would like to try slippery elm I heard it's good. I'll try the melon salad 🥗 that might be very refreshing.

How to Navigate the Skool Experience?
Nourish Nook was designed with one goal in mind... Become the most helpful community on the internet for individuals and practitioners wanting to learn and implement systemic metabolic health practices to their skill set and knowledge base. I've spent the last years obsessively working in and learning about food, holistic practices, cellular health and more, while healing myself and those who sought me out for help. During that time, I garnered a large following on Instagram but it wasn’t reaching you in the right way. All of my best knowledge, frameworks, and learnings will be packaged into bite sized videos/guides within the Nourish Nook Classroom Tab. 📺 📚 I've also pinned a thread in the Community tab called "Pain Points" which is designed to crowdsource additional unanswered questions that I should cover in future videos. Whenever you're struggling with something (and you don't see the answer in the Classroom tab), please add it to Pain Points. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Don’t forget our wins, share those on the “Weekly Wins” tab! 🏅 🗓️ Upcoming Events: All our weekly calls, expert interviews, and special events both online and in person (Retreats, conferences etc) will be visible on the map. Make sure to add them to your personal calendars by clicking on a specific series or special events. At the top of the community feed will always show the next upcoming event. ----------------------------- A couple quick housekeeping items about the Nourish Nook experience in skool. The community space is organized into 3 main sections (tabs at the top): 1️⃣ Community Tab - General discussion, this is an open feed where you can post questions for me, questions for others, add your wins and suggestions to Pain Points. This is designed to be checked frequently, but not incessantly. The goal is to give you searchable access to high value information without burning you out. So think Community = Thread Style Posts/Feed 2️⃣ Classroom Tab - this is where I'll post mini courses, videos and breakdowns on everything I know about gut health and metabolic health as a whole. When I trial something that works, I'll create a video here breaking it down and send you a message letting you know it's live.
